This makes me slightly sad. This was the one song that I would LOVED to have heard when I saw them the second time this year (which was only 10 days ago)... Oh well, gotta live with that. Damn, I love that song so much (although the full band version more than just acoustic I have to say, I think the acoustic and then full band blended together version like on 21st BD tour was magical...).

I hope they'll play it again...

Yes i also prefer the band version but nice with a little change here. THOUGH i really don't think WMUWSE will get into the setlist. I really hope so but i just think it's so unrealistic considering how little variation it has been in the setlist for this tour.

I dislike power ballads so the acoustic version made me a lot happier than the full band one would have.

So during the festival gigs they have used the ''regular'' setlist, and yes it is dissapointing considering how big arsenal GD has of songs. But i think for them it's maybe hard to change the setlist, considering how great it actually is. But we just want a few songs out and a few more in. I really want to hear: Christie Road, Welcome to Paradise (WHY DON*T THEY PLAY THIS????), Going to pasalacqua, wake me up when september ends, 21 guns, east jesus nowhere (best live song imo), 21st century breakdown, stray heart, the forgotten, say goodbye, we are the champions, restless heart syndrome, brain stew, whatsername.

The Boys played C.Road live in some of recently RavRadio, I think London,Paris..and Germany.but I don't really know if they still playing it.

Aww that's really nice, he played it for his Dad:). Will not be making an actual return to the set of course. They need to add an Insomniac slot to the set, just one 2-3 min spot where they play one song, whatever they want preferably alternating Geek Stink Breath and Armatage Shanks. Stuart And The Ave. would be nice since it's rehearsed and all.

WOAH! ive read how emotional that song makes him, i could only imagine how tough it would have been to sing on FD.

Would of been cool to hear WMUWSE but Im not that disappointed he didnt play it in Perth, cranking the old tunes is way better :)

hey does anyone her think its possible or likely GD would ever do like a non album release tour?

Mainly so they could dig up ALL the gold?

Still, I think they're playing it too safe. It seems like they're scared that someone in the audience might not know one song and therefore only play the most well known ones.

(It almost feels like a greatest hits tour)

I don't think that's true: Letterbomb, Youngblood, 2000 Light Years Away, Burnout, Are We The Waiting, St. Jimmy, She, King For a Day and Forever Now aren't singles, so many people don't know those songs. I know lots of people who go to Green Day shows and only know the singles. Festival audiences might not even know all of those. I met some girls at Pinkpop that haven't ever seen GD live, and I don't think they even have their records. They didn't know the words to of most of the songs and only watched, but they were completely in awe by the show. This is the target audience.

I think the reasons why we constantly complain about the setlist are:

- most of us go to multiple shows, so shows start to get boring - I honestly don't get why those fans complain about it. They kinda do it to themselves. When you see them 20 times during one tour cycle, you just can't expect a surprise anymore.

- most of us know every single song GD ever released to the public and constantly yearn to see those deep cuts live

- GD themselves have been a band since 30 years and they are just over playing some of the songs. It is apparent that out of some reason, they really don't want to play trilogy songs and seem to be over 21 Guns or WMWSE. At the same time, they seem to be super attached emotionally to certain songs and I don't see them ever dropping them: Letterbomb (BJ said it's his fav GD song out of their whole catalog!), Forever Now (their fav song of RevRad), Youngblood and 20.000 Light Years Away (songs for Adrienne), Basket Case (BJ said it's always a special moment for them at the shows and they will never drop it), She (their fav Dookie song and a fan favorite, too), Still Breathing (esp. for BJ), JoS (all of them mentioned that they consider this their best song to date).

I think after all those years, with this huge catalog, it's sooo tough to make a setlist that satisfies the hardcore fans, the casual listeners, the band (!), promotes the current album and keeps up the energy.

Totally agree with Melissi_unicorn, and they are trying to please everyone, impossible task!  I don't get to see them often so  I'm always just so happy to get the chance that I am not going to grouch about the set list.
