I feel bad for the rest of Australia. They got pretty boring setlists, then finally Sydney gets one of the best of 2017 so far!

Definitely! I'm going to two shows this summer, I'll be really bummed if they both get the same setlist.

It stings a little harder over here because there's a bit of a (yes, it's immature) rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne and so for us to get two shows exactly the same and then Sydney to get THAT set list...

Ok, people attending the second show in Auckland got rewarded too. So far, I've heard reports of Last Night On Earth and a snippet of Dominated Love Slave (during Shout I think) being played. Gosh, this stuff is exciting!

I think that's part of the reason why I was so pissed off.
I'm over it now, but fuck that hurt.

I'm so glad they've been playing more songs from Revolution Radio!  They still haven't done Outlaws, Bouncing off the Wall or Say Goodbye but hey - 9 out of 12 ain't bad!

Damn I read this ready to tell you that they played Bouncing off the Walls at Brisbane. But I just looked up the setlist and they didn't! What is my memory doing, I definitely remember hearing it.

That would be nice if they continued to throw in random surprises every night for the rest of the tour like they did with the last show. This needs to happen more and not just when they have two dates in the same city.

Are you counting Brain Stew and Jaded as one song? They're 2 separate songs although they lead into each so technically Insomniac had 5 songs released as singles

Depending what you count as a single, Nimrod has 5 official music videos 😂😉 Hitchin a Ride, Nice Guys Finish Last, Redundant, Good Riddance and Last Ride In.

Album sales have slowed right down so it depends if they start picking up again after the 3rd single release as to whether we'll get 5, as long as the album does well, they'll continue promotion with single releases.

Back on topic, I'm stoked that Too Dumb to Die has stayed on the setlist for a second night.  This is the first time in 12 years I've missed them coming to the UK so can't wait for them to come back to Hyde Park and hear the new stuff! Would love to hear Say Goodbye added as well.

Beyond RevRad, the one album I haven't seen represented at all much in the 12 years I've been seeing them is Warning (yeah I've even seen more 1039 and Insomniac than Warning).  Give me some Castaway please 😁

One thing I've learnt is that the show will be amazing regardless.  Even when I've seen them several times on the same leg, I've loved each night.

I would love to hear Castaway! Church on Sunday! Jackass! Warning is my favourite album so would love if they pulled these out and played them live :)

Anything from Warning, I'd take in a heartbeat.
I would literally melt into a puddle if they ever played Church on Sunday. I have serious feelings for that song.

Idk why they haven't played BOTW yet. It'd be a killer live song!

It would work so well live! They need to get on this

Yeah, this and not playing Horseshoes and Handgrenades will probably remain the greatest Green Day setlist mysteries.. I've suggested it to Jeff Matika on Twitter and to others on various platforms, let's hope they consider it sometime....

Anyone else think WUWSE and 21 Guns will probably ease back in too? Seems to be the pattern that's occurring.

they played dominated love slave during shout in the first sydney show. I still wouldve liked something like nuclear family, oh love, stop when the red lights flash. They seemed to go down well in the previous tours. Also it seems like a lot of people on youtube are criticising crowds during "forever now". Its by far my fave revrad song, but I can understand why crowds go a little quiet during. By the time it comes around everyone is cooked!! that and its just not quite one of those songs to jump crazy too the whole time...although it seems like a "quiet point" everyone still loves it!

I don't think it's the pattern, but I'd quite like to see WMUWSE again. I know it's generally disliked here, but it was the first Green Day song I ever heard almost 13 years ago and that's stuck with me. So, for me, it's a part of Green Day's setlist. However, I think it would do best when only played occasionally in the encore. I just remember how great it worked together with Good Riddance, as they're both so personal songs. Just in general, 21st CB tour encores were fantastic!

Is there some kind of a pattern? I don't think so... I feel like any time I start to think there might be, they do something crazy :P

I don't care much for WMUWSE or 21 Guns, but if Billie threw in an acoustic version of Redundant or When It's Time or something else again, I wouldn't complain  21st CB encores were wonderful.

I think it's clearly the Rev Rad tour they're playing 6-7 songs from it a night. That's standard for most bands touring an album. It's the same number with the trilogy tour, 21CB, American Idiot tour. The difference is they're not switching up other songs and that's the issue why it seems so stale.

For another perspective, I saw Jimmy Eat World last night, played 6 songs from Integrity Blues (album tour) and 6 from Bleed American (they're biggest album). That was my 6th time seeing them and I still heard a few old songs that I hadn't heard yet.

If they switched one song a night out, it'd cater to all fans

mmm yes and no. 6 has been good, but sometimes they play more AI than RR. They represent the album well when you see the setlist on paper, but actually being there it just feels like green day plays the hits - especially since they start with KYE.

also, one of those songs being ordinary world just being slipped in the acoustic session at the end doesn't really add to the revolution radio tour feel.

I can't judge because I never heard it live but it's never seemed any special to me. I won't leave in disgust if they play it but there's a 100 songs I'd rather hear.

I don't think they will make it back on the setlist, but I would certainly love it if they played it live more often.

My mom loves both of those (my father likes 21 Guns), and since they are both now more inclined to attend GD shows with me, I would love for the three of us to experience them together.
Much like with some of the slower songs performed on this tour, it's wonderfully chilling to hear and see the crowd with the flashlights on their phones on and singing along.

I love 21 Guns! I think the live version of the song is much better than the recorded one and I'd be extremely happy to see it live! Maybe at Pinkpop (come on, guys! XD)

I don't see the point of them playing 21 Guns if they're already playing Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Similar songs and an almost identical live experience, only BOBD is better :P
