Of course we all have our preference (I'm in the club of removing KFAD), but I think we all just need to take a step back sometimes and realize just how good we have it sometimes. stories and songs
When I look at their setlist now compared to when I first saw them 12 years ago, it has changed a lot. Actually, it changes a lot tour to tour. Yeah, the staples remain the same, but they're staples because everyone enjoys them (for the most part, lol). I'm ok with that. If I get to hear 6 or 7 new songs every tour, that's a-ok with me.

AlissaGoesRAWR
All I'm asking for is Nice Guys Finish Last, 21 Guns or Wake Me Up When September Ends! I'm not expecting them to play American Idiot in its entirety or anything, but it's absurd I haven't heard those three songs yet.

I wonder if my city do something similar - I'd love to take my sister to see them but she's got special needs and no way could she stand for a show. Bit of a late comment, sorry, but I recently wasn't able to stand due to a (temporary) injury and crutches, yet I still managed to go to a few gigs. I'd already bought the standing tickets, so I called up/emailed the venues (details easy to find online) and actually managed to sort out seats for each gig in the 'accessibility' areas. Certainly wasn't like being on the barrier, but they hadn't great views, were easy to get to, we were let in early, and both my friend and I were able to sit. It was really easy to sort out too, they just needed me to email a doctor's note or something to prove I wasn't able to stand, as space was limited. These were both at club venues in London, so it wasn't like they were huge corporate arenas either. Certainly worth enquiringly if it's something she'd be interested in, most venues seem to have a pretty solid arrangement in place for those who need it, 21 minutes ago, Tinkle said: JOS & Youngblood Youngblood was absolutely awesome live. Can't believe you've managed to avoid those I'd say you're not missing much with 21 Guns though. They play it in quite a tedious way (removing the cool "When it's time to live and let die..." part and repeating the chorus endlessly instead) and really the BOBD experience is so similar that there's no need for both. St. Jonny
I'd shit if they did Nice Guys Finish Last at a show I was at! Why the fuck was there no Christie Road last couple shows? So laaaame. They should be adding short old tunes, not taking them off the list.

The set was completely different every night, not even the opening and closing songs were ever the same. They even left some huge hits out at some shows but not others and played rare tracks and b-sides instead. Granted they're a much smaller band who has a much more dedicated fanbase attending their shows but it was still so cool how you could see two entirely different shows two nights in a row What would actually make me super happy is just one song they switch it up. Just to cater to that 1% of people who are seeing them multiple times. Young Blood and Forever Now are going to be new live songs for me. I'm cool with that, but I do hope that the other 7 shows I'm going to after later in the year might get a song change. Burnout/ Scattered/ 2000 LYA one of those could get switched for a different song each night easily. If you know those songs you'll know anything by them

Just to cater to that 1% of people who are seeing them multiple times. And for people who have seen them multiple times over the years! I would love that, and it's definitely doable. Plus, they're always so excited when they play old/rare songs - when Billie used to tweet, he would say those songs were the highlights of gigs. I don't understand at all why they're sticking to a rigid setlist of hits with no changes night to night. When they're into a song, the audience is into it too, even if a lot of them have never heard it before. I just had Outlaws on and it would be so great if they would switch it out with BOBD. Not the most intense song, not the fastest, so the pace of the show could stay the same. And maybe switch KYE with Say Goodbye. I know they're playing a lot of RevRad songs but it somehow doesn't feel like a RevRad tour? Youngblood and Ordinary World are outliers on the record and don't really fit with the mood, and the other songs are at the beginning and end of the set. I don't know, I just wish the tour was more representative of the album they're touring for.
grene cniht
I wonder why they played Welcome To Paradise, Brain Stew and Jaded at the first show of the European tour in Turin and even Nice Guys Finish Last the day after and never played them again ever after. They were probably still trying to find the right formula by experimenting a little bit but all those songs seemed to work so well and a little change up from one show to another was nice to hear too. RedundantIdiot
I think that GD could possibly play Armatage Shanks more during this tour. I was lucky enough to to hear it at the Leeds gig, but I was surprised to see that it was the only time it has been played so far. While I don't expect them to play it every gig, it literally took them less than three minutes to pick and play the song and the presence of it on the set list rounded the set list up to 30 songs and it seemed a popular choice of song. Apart from this, I think the set list is really good and the lack of variation doesn't bother me as I'm only going to the one gig during the tour. Yeah, 21 Guns is less about hearing the song itself and more about the sheer absurdity that it's a classic I haven't seen since my first show was during the trilogy tour. Even though 21CB ranks very low on my favorite album list, it sucks that there are so many good live songs that I would love to hear but I'll realistically never hear from it. From what I've gathered, the 21CB tour was an amazing tour, so I'm not really sure why they're so hesitant to play anything from that album... yet are inexplicably OK with opening this tour's setlist with one of its songs. 2 hours ago, Whatsername_123 said: I think that GD could possibly play Armatage Shanks more during this tour. SuperXCsabre495
I first saw the guys back in 2010 in Hartford and I think I got spoiled for my first show because every time I look back at that setlist and see what was played I get blown away every time. I was extremely fortunate to see them twice in one week during the 99 Revolutions tour in Rochester and Uncasville and the only real shocker for me was Coming Clean in Uncasville. I really look forward to seeing old songs that I haven't heard live before and hopefully they'll still play Waiting on Friday since the only Warning song I've ever heard live is Minority and that's been replaced with Forever Now (which I'm totally fine with). I'm really hoping we can hear more from the trilogy other than the partial Amy and I hate that Christie Road appears to be taken off the setlist since I've been dying to hear that song live. I just want more old stuff. I don't want to sound ungrateful but it'd be nice to see more songs from 39/smooth, Kerplunk, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning as well. blueshadows
Was just listening to Say Goodbye and thought it would be so great live. Would be great if they can maybe play one unplayed song from the new album for each show (play Say Goodbye one night, Troubled Tumes another night, Bouncing off the Wall etc...) RedundantIdiot
Am I one of few people here who was actually happy to hear 7 American Idiot songs? I've only ever been to one GD gig and AI was my 1st GD album, so I was pretty happy to hear so many AI songs even if this is the Rev Rad tour. I also liked the acoustic beginning to BOBD which doesn't seem to be popular (or at least according to some of the posts here), and I was also happy to hear Are We the Waiting even if other people weren't happy to see it on the setlist. Obviously, if/when I see GD again when they tour in support of another album I might want to hear other songs, but for my 1st GD gig I was really happy to hear so many AI songs. On a completely different note, I think Still Breathing and Forever Now work so well back to back.

To be honest I wouldn't even mind at all hearing the rest of AI, the whole album is just amazing but this is still a RevRad tour, so I am happy with the number of AI and RevRad songs. Just wish they slightly changed the deeper cuts from night to night to make it special for those attending multiple shows.

AmyxLongview
After seeing the show a couple nights ago I have to say: KFAD/Shout has got to go It's just stale to me at this point. They can/should do the silly stuff during a different song. All the new songs sounded amazing. I loved the effects they had during Still Breathing and Forever Now.
