DeJennsitized
Omg, Panic Song as the opener is a genius idea!!! Imagine pyrotechnics and lights during that build up!
MillenniumFan
Yeah, Panic Song would replace 21st CB as Green Day's best opener to date!
AmyxLongview
I may be in the minority but I think the setlist for this tour is pretty much perfect. The only thing I would change would be to open with Revolution Radio or Bang Bang instead of KYE.
RedundantIdiot
I think the setlist is very good but I'd make these small changes: 1: Open with Bang Bang and Rev Rad then KYE 2: Play Welcome to Paradise 3: Play something off Insomniac and/or 21st Century Breakdown (ie Brain Stew, EJN)

St. Jonny
If they would do those three things it would be perfect. I don't really care about Troubled Times honestly I'd rather them do Somewhere Now damn it. Right before Forever Now. Or first.

DookieLukie
It's clear that they will not be changing up the setlist.
iScottie
Well at least the crew doesn't have to tape the setlists to the stage anymore. Kudos to Green Day for saving them some setup time.
djrossstar
If Green Day don't change up the setlist in the USA from this tour to the one in September, I will be very disappointed!
Otis Big
in my view, 21st Century Breakdown and Insomniac are at the top of their list of albums. American Idiot is up there too, but they don't need to play over half the album. Damn. wtf? This is probably the most disappointing tour setlist I have seen. I feel like Green Day have sort of been brainwashed and have started to lose touch with being a real band. I feel like they play what they're told or suggested to play instead of what they would really want to play. It's also like the trilogy never happened. BrendanL
Keep an eye out for the St. Paul date on April 1, where it's a safe bet we'll here Minnesota Girl. A Prince tribute wouldn't be out of the question either given his recent passing and the guys being big fans of him - they covered Let's Go Crazy back in 2009 at the target center
Q-Man
Hoping for maybe a different song or two for their show on St. Patrick's Day but that is probably very unlikely.
Fuzz
As someone who hadn't seen Green Day in several years, can I just say I wasn't the least bit bothered with the set list. If I saw them multiple times every tour I can see how seeing them play the same songs over and over would be tiring. But 99% of the people in that venue are only seeing them once this tour - and I'd bet a large majority may be seeing them for the first time. And they put on an amazing show. I simply don't think this whole setlist thing is as big of a gripe as people here make it out to be. People get a little selfish in thinking the shows should be tailored for them. I woudln't complain if Green Day mixed it up a bit, but seeing how much shit people have talked in this thread is really the epitome of entitlement. And the thing is, a lot of people that I saw how much they complained about the setlist, after their show, they said how once you're there you don't care about it, cause the show is simply amazing, even the people that complain about KYE as the opener said that once you're there it works just fine, and a lot of that people said that was probably the best Green Day show ever. Hermione
Yeah when you don't attend the show the setlist is all you really have to look at so it seems a lot more important than it really is. It's easy to forget but there's so, so much more to a Green Day show than just what selection of songs they play. Still can be fun to imagine and discuss what your ideal show/setlist would be and doing so doesn't necessarily mean you think you're entitled to it, but that is worth bearing in mind. You can't state that as a fact though. Their catalogue is so amazing - any number of combinations would make an unbelievable setlist & it wouldnt matter if you were a casual fan or hardcore. 8 minutes ago, Hermione said: Yeah when you don't attend the show the setlist is all you really have to look at so it seems a lot more important than it really is. I am scared to death that I am going to see the exact same show 5 times in a week. I am going to multiple cities as it is a long way for GD to come downunder. I kinda wish I was only going to one now.

That's pretty realistic. Like i said, I definitely wouldn't complain if they mixed it up more. But just pointing out that for the vast majority of people, the setlist is enjoyable and not something they're going to grow tired of.

Cunt
I've seen Def Leppard I think 6 times in my life. I've seen the the last three years in a row and I'm seeing them again in June. It's rather frustrating that they haven't really changed their setlist a whole bunch since the first time I saw them. Actually the first time I saw them it was the most off the wall setlist they had. But it's the same shit every year. You can predict that they will have the same Acoustic set with Two Steps Behind and Bringing on the Heartbreak. You know that they will play half of the Hysteria Album. Yeah sure, while you are there it's not that big of a deal abc you have a lot of fun. Def Leppard puts on an amazing show that I have no problem throwing money at every time they come to Utah. But every single time, a few days after the show, I start thinking "It would have been cool to hear Too late for love or High n' dryin." Same thing goes for Green Day. This setlist has not changed really that much from the 99 Revolutions Tour other than the fact that they are playing RevRad songs. You can predict that they will play an acoustic/electric version of BOBD. You know that they will play American Idiot and Jesus of Suburbia in the encore. You know damn fucking well that throughout the middle of the set they will play all of their pre American Idiot songs mostly containing content from Dookie. For god sakes surprise us with something every once in a while. And is this the American Idiot or Revolution Radio tour? I could probably die happy if I never heard Letterbomb, Are we the Waiting and St Jimmy live. Is this stuff that ruins the show or makes people dislike Green Day? No. Is it disappointing and irritating? Yes!

Totally understand that - but if they changed some of their staples from time to time the first time concert goers would still know those songs & the guys engage the crowd so well - from what they were posting before RevRad came out I was expecting a total overhaul of their set.
