They were brutal cause people voted for singles. They didn't play anything "unusual" that tour. Unless they put up a list of "rare" songs to pick from

Well I'm open to them trying anything that's different than what they're doing what right now... which is literally the same thing every night. :P

Oh trust me I think everyone on here wants just something slightly different. Even one song different. Please just change one song

And Phish! That's a huge part of what makes their shows so special. And they are killer live. Back when I first started seeing them their ever changing set lists blew my mind, and I realized that it was the way to do it. It's really an amazing way to go through a tour. I hadn't really thought too much about Green Day's setlist before that, but at that point I started to feel Green Day's predictable show was kind of flat by comparison.

I remember this well. And I also remember a lot of us bitching because the shows were all the same and lo and behold they changed it up. Here's hoping they do so again.

Oh yeah forgot about Phish

Instead of having the vote taken from IN they should take it from GDC:tired:

I like the beginning of the setlist. Know Your Enemy, Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Holiday and Letterbomb. Together they sound so good!

But I still wish to hear some Insomniac, at least one song!!! Also Bouncing Off the Wall!

If they did a vote then whatever the most well known song on the list was would always win. That's what happens when you get lots of people to vote on something. Even when they ask for requests at a show there's more people shouting "When I Come Around!!!!!111" or some other song they already play than shouting for any one more obscure song. They'd have to pick a narrow list of songs to vote for.

That just reminded me of someone at Leeds who yelled "Church On Sunday!!!" when Billie said he'd play anything  I think it was Church on Sunday anyway...was definitely a Warning song!

I guess I was thinking more of a contest where a few winners are picked on Idiot Nation for each show and then they pick a song to add to the setlist (after seeing the main setlist that's already going to be played that night, so it isn't duplicated). I feel like someone's who's willing to pay for a fan club would be more likely to pick something a little less mainstream.

Jackass is super easy, and there's room for Jason to do the sax and a lil jam in the middle, surprised they never do it.

I would love for them to do what AFI did on their tour that just ended last week. The set was completely different every night, not even the opening and closing songs were ever the same. They even left some huge hits out at some shows but not others and played rare tracks and b-sides instead. Granted they're a much smaller band who has a much more dedicated fanbase attending their shows but it was still so cool how you could see two entirely different shows two nights in a row

This.
I enjoyed seeing AFI's setlist change from night to night. I'm not a hardcore fan that knows every song and all, but I do enjoy their music enough to go see them.
If anything, them playing songs that many know but I (and many others) did not made me want to look deeper into their catalog than I have in the past.

Again, I can't necessarily see Green Day do the exact same thing, in which the setlist changes every night, but having a few mix ins that people may want to check out later on is not a bad idea.

TBH, there's sooooo much they could be doing to utilize their loyal fan club, but they are failing so badly in that aspect 😂

I'd love to hear some of the trilogy stuff (It's F*** Time) on this tour but it looks as if they've put those albums away like Christmas decorations.

This! I really love so many of the trilogy songs and I would freak out if they'd play Nuclear Family, Stop when the red lights flash, Stay the night, Makeout Party or Let yourself go. I know this album era is over and they toured for the album but at least keep 2 or 3 of them.

I wasn't around for it but wasn't Nuclear Family on the setlist for that album release show at Rough Trade? Even if they didn't play it (or so I heard?) at least Billie unashamedly waved it at the facebook live audience. And I browsed through Billie's instagram yesterday (again) and he posted a rehearsal setlist last year and it was on there too. The shows they're playing atm don't make it seem very likely we'll hear them but at least it seems they don't totally avoid those songs. I would literally kill to hear Nuclear Family of Stay the Night this summer so refusing to give up hope

GD could come out playing nothing but children's songs and it would be a refreshing change at this point.

The one thing that really stands out to me setlist-wise is that they're not playing Welcome to Paradise. I have no idea why, it's fantastic live!!

I sort of can't believe "Going to Pasalacqua" is off the setlist, it was a staple since the beginning it seems!

Panic Song needs to be the first song of an encore.

I would rather first song of the night - but anywhere will do.
