At this point I would probably give Billie a blow job for free if he would play Bouncing off the walls.

We just don't need over half of American Idiot.

Are We The Waiting is probably the most baffling addition to the setlist this tour. At least on the 99 revs tour they played Brain Stew into St Jimmy.

I love Are We The Waiting though and I'm glad they played it at my shows! If I were to cut an AI song it'd be JOS. I don't want them to cut Holiday, BOBD or AI. They did cut WMUWSE, but then added Letterbomb. There is an imbalance there, half of AI and one song from 21CB?? Come on :tired:

Are We The Waiting used to be my "wow moment song" when you like literally embrace the moment and it's like mesmorising. Then they played Brutal Love. Still to this day one of the best live songs which probably will never get the light of day again.

Honestly, I think if they switched up Christie Road, Burnout, 2000 LYA and Scattered with other non singles everyone would happy.

There is just that small chunk in the middle of the set where you could go in knowing they'll throw in a curveball and it'd be a massive surprise. At the club shows they had literally 7 or so songs next to the setlist that were "rare songs" just wish they would venture into those again. To me I love hearing a song I haven't seen live before and it's a great discussion topic with other fans. I like trying to complete the "heard every song live" list"

I agree about Brutal Love, if I had to choose between the two I'd choose that one. And yes, I agree - and would add Letterbomb to that list too.

It was a surprise when they played Burnout at Wembley but it's a staple now, it looks like. They have enough songs to do a couple of different songs at each tour date, and it'd make it special for each audience.

I'm game too, you can never have too many blow jobs, so maybe it will work.

Not that I hate it, but I think Know Your Enemy has nearly run its course (if it hasn't already) of being the opener. I'd love to see something off RevRad (perhaps Somewhere Now), Welcome to Paradise or 21CB.

I say this now, but at the Dublin gig I'll probably be there like "Know Your Enemy!?! WOOP!"

No, just to personally add or delete from the setlist.  I think Billie is getting a bargain

Have they ever changed their opener permanently in the middle of the tour though? I agree, I'd really like to see a different opener, but, of all things, that's probably the least likely thing to happen by a mile!

If they don't add Nice Guys Finish Last to the setlist before the end of the month, I think Brandon is going to climb onto the stage and strangle Billie... he may or may not have let me buy tickets to four shows in less than 12 months with the hopes of finally seeing it performed live at at least one of them. That seems highly unlikely now.

I remember when AC/DC fans made a petition about changing the setlists and Ultimate Guitar picked it up and then the band started changing it up.

I do think it's a common thing for bands of this caliber, like at a certain career point they go "same setlist shows from now on" unless your Pearl Jam. If you follow Metallica on Facebook each night they post their setlist after the show. The setlist varies each night but people always complain about how they only play singles.

PJ and Springsteen are the two I really know off hand that changes their set lists daily

It's highly unlikely they'll change it. Unless they release some new material during the tour, it'll probably be the same set with just a rotation of Kerplunk songs and maybe the odd bit of Insomniac (or even the trilogy!)

I'd be satisfied with a standard setlist and requests for 15 minutes in the middle. Just a break from the rehearsed 'show' and play 3/4 songs that they can switch up every gig.

I'd sign up for Idiot Nation again next year if they let fans request a few songs for each show with polls or something, even just from like a pre-approved list? We can dream, eh?

True, and he'll have to deal with my years of mourning.

That's actually a pretty cool idea!

On the 2010 tour it changed up ALOT, come one dude's, change it up a bit or throw in some more short old tracks.

I told hubby today that there's a chance that set list would be the same at the two shows we're going to, even four months a part. He just rolled his eyes at me. =/

This on paper is great but did you ever see the sets Metallica played for their "on request" tour. They were brutal.

One of my favourite bands The Summer Set did this last year too. You could pick 15 songs from any album for the tour. The actual final poll was the exact same songs apart from one that they played on their last tour. Us hardcore old school fans are outnumbered

See, now for this, I would hope they at the very least change their set between the 1st and 2nd legs of the tour, even more so because of the venues they will be playing. From what I've heard/understand, there isn't much room for a catwalk during the 2nd leg because the venues are ampitheaters, so certain songs may not be performed (wasn't it mentioned a page or two back that AWTW works with the catwalk/the last time it was performed before the RevRad tour was during the 21CB tour in which there was a cat walk?)

I'm not necessarily irked that I'll be saying the same setlist twice this month, especially as it's almost the exact same from one of the club dates I attended, since I'm using the time to visit some people I haven't seen in a long time, but it does make me feel the need to buy a ticket for the 2nd leg due to the sense that there will be some songs exchanged by then.

Sure, an entire set would probably be terrible, but a contest for 1-2 songs would be tolerable and at least allow for a potential surprise each show.

And Phish! That's a huge part of what makes their shows so special. And they are killer live. Back when I first started seeing them their ever changing set lists blew my mind, and I realized that it was the way to do it. It's really an amazing way to go through a tour. I hadn't really thought too much about Green Day's setlist before that, but at that point I started to feel Green Day's predictable show was kind of flat by comparison.

I remember this well. And I also remember a lot of us bitching because the shows were all the same and lo and behold they changed it up. Here's hoping they do so again.

They were brutal cause people voted for singles. They didn't play anything "unusual" that tour. Unless they put up a list of "rare" songs to pick from
