He was doing some great and amusing little rants about putting phones away and enjoying the moment at my show (and he even cheekily targeted someone who had their phone out with the water gun ) and still people stood there filming. Like, just from the point of view of the band's enjoyment looking into the crowd and the atmosphere of the band and fans enjoying the show in the moment together, how can you cheer when he says it but still keep holding that phone up? How can you look him in the eye when he's staring into the crowd looking for connection and he's just said that, and you're still pointing your phone at him? I wouldn't dare . Doesn't actually affect my enjoyment of the show if people are filming around me but these things go through my head when I see them and I don't get it. Those people have to be absolutely cold-blooded. Or maybe not everyone is as in awe of him as I am. I wouldn't dare either. Anyway, I think it's much more fun to show that you're into it/do as he says instead of fiddling around with your phone. Besides I couldn't focus on the show if I did that. I wonder how much those people remember.

RedundantIdiot
Billie also made a speech about phones/cameras at the Leeds gig. It was something along the lines of ''we don't need cell phones right now, we don't need camera's right now. I don't want to see a selfie. I want to see your faces''. Like @Hermione said above for the London gig, fans were still recording even as he said this! I wholeheartedly agree with what Billie said. I've never understood why people pay to go to a gig only to watch the whole gig through a camera/phone. It's even worse if you've got someone in front of you recording.... a few years ago my uncle even had somebody in front of him recording with an iPad, he told them to put it down. Also during Longview, Billie spotted people sat down. He shouted ''Hey, stand your ass up. Get up. This is a fucking rock and roll concert not a tea party ''. Presumably when the fans stood up (I couldn't see them from where I was) he then said ''I love you. You're a wonderful human being''. I bet those fans didn't dare to sit down again in case he shouted at them again, lol. On a completely different note, I was so happy with the setlist at Leeds. There was just about the right balance between 'old' and 'new' songs, and I thought that there was something for everyone on the setlist. Even KFAD was ok. But I'd never have the desire to do it in a million years.

I gave her every "out" and she insisted on seeing the show). Of course, for those general admission shows we needed to make sure she was safe...and we called the venue (which was the House of Blues) ahead of time and they assured us we'd be fine. When we showed up they brought us around the line and put us in an accessible area for those with physical limitations. It was completely safe and gave her a place to sit since she was so unwell, and was really well done by the venue. Thank you ADA (American Disabilities Act) and thank you to the venue. There were various other handicapped folks and their families around us and I was very impressed at how well the venue handled their safety and well being while allowing them to enjoy such a great show. A friend and I drove 10 hours to Phoenix to see GNR last summer, paid 175 dollars a seat and he started sitting down. I've never been more upset at a friend in my entire life. Hermione
What I didn't get was my brother arrived in London for our show around the same time as us but instead of coming to queue (and getting a spot two rows back in front of the catwalk inches from Billie) he and his friends sat in one of their houses half the day and in a restaurant at the venue looking at the queue the other half and only joined right before doors opened. They literally could have done the exact same things (sitting around talking and eating food) in the indoor queue, so why?? Think I'd just buy a seated ticket if I wasn't up for queuing or being in the pit.
St. Jonny
@Cunt that's a usual thing I guess. Last summer was at GNR in Toronto and some asshole behind me in the 100's asked if I'd stop thrashing around so much and throwing my long hair around. Was pretty funny, I promptly gave him the finger and said "you're in the jungle baby!!" I then rocked out even harder, did more drugs and yelled way louder! 200 bux a ticket, you can sit and watch a dvd at home if your not game!! That Dude
Holiday is in their new set list so this fits here. I heard this song on my local station the other week and there were all these war sound effects added to the track. Bombs, machine guns, helicopters, etc. Anyone ever heard this version of Holiday? It wasn’t the sounds from the video. Totally different.

MillenniumFan
Well, tbh, I don't think they'll change much if anything, but I have to say, if they don't even add or swap one single song and instead use the exact same setlist, I'd be very disappointed... Hermione
Isn't it mostly going to be people who haven't seen this tour/setlist yet going to these shows though? They put a show together and then they tour it for different people to see, that's how they've always done things Also I'd seen them 5 times before and with the new songs and the other changed up ones I got to see 9 songs I'd never seen before at the show I went to on this tour. Is that really that bad?
MillenniumFan
You're right, but on the other hand, I just really like to see a tiny bit of variety when I browse through their setlists, just one or two songs changed or added every other show or so. Personally, I was really pleased with the setlist when I went to see them two months ago, but I can understand people that like to see a bit of variety. I mean, they managed to do this in the 99 revolutions tour and the 21st CB tour especially, so why not this time round too? And no, I don't a expect 21st Century Breakdown tour setlist, but just a bare minimum of variation, such as playing some more 21st CB songs, or more songs from Insomniac like Geek Stink Breath, Brain Stew and Jaded. I'm lucky enough to be able to see Green Day again in the summer and I tbh, once you're actually at the gig, you don't really care about what the setlist is. However, it would be so cool walking away from the show knowing the setlist was different.

Chin for a Day
I've decided I don't give a shit what they play, they can play 2 hours of JOS or Insomniac from front to back as long as they play Whatsername.
Paola17
Can't wait to compare the US setlists vs the European ones. I think Troubled Times would do quite well live here in the US-unleash frustration and all. I am okay with the band playing anything, but I think it'd be nice if they switched one or two songs every few days on tour. Not that I think they'll do it, but they did have a few nights of surprises in Europe so

I love your reasoning for posting that here I'd be interested to hear that version! About special needs and seating- if your show is in the US, then the venue must by law provide you with accessible access and seating. And, based on our experience, this seating is usually really well done- good sightlines, very safe, etc. For example, for our House of Blues show they put us in the balcony over the stage- she was able to see everything while seated and they escorted us around the line to get in and up and down and elevator to the seats. I'd call your venue in advance to make sure they can accommodate you and get on the ADA list. If they handle it by the book, they'll provide you a special needs escort to bring you into the venue and to you accessible seating. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well they'll accommodate you. I hope you both enjoy the show!
