This is one thing that I always admired about one of my favorite bands Rush. The would have an almost completely different set list from every tour for example.

Clockwork Angels Tour                                      R40 Tour

1. Subdivisions                                                 1. The Anarchist

2. The Big Money                                             2. Clockwork Angels

3. The Force Ten                                              3. Headlong Flight

4. Grand Designs (last played 1986).              4. Far Cry

5. Limelight                                                      5. The Main Monkey Business

6. Territories                                                    6. How it Is (first time live)

7. The Analog Kid (last played 1997)             7. Animate (last played 2004)

8. The Pass (last played 2002)                      8. Roll The Bones (Last played 2004)

9. Where's My Thing                                      9. Distant Early Warning

10. Far Cry                                                    10. Subdivisions

11. Caravan                                                   11. Tom Sawyer

12. Clockwork Angels                                   12. Red Barchetta

13. The Anarchist                                         13. The Spirit of Radio

14. Carnies                                                   14. Jacobs Ladder (last played 1980)

15. The Wreckers                                         15. Hemispheres (last played 1994)

16. Headlong Flight                                      16. Cygnus X1( last played 2002)

17. Halo Effect                                              17. Closer to the heart

18. Wish Them Well                                      18. Xanadu (last played 2004)

19. The Garden                                             19. 2112

20. Dreamline                                                20. Lakeside Park (last played 1978)

21. Red Sector A                                           21. Anthem (last played 1980)

22. YYZ                                                       22. What You're Doing (last played 1977)

23. The Spirit of Radio                                23. Working Man

24. Tom Sawyer

25. 2112

These weren't the setlists used on every single night of the  tour because of the songs bring rotated in and out, but if people are using the excuse of "Green Day is trying to get comfortable again" it's irrelevant. If 3 60+ year old men can get up and play songs that 50 times harder than Green Day's for 3 hours every night and basically present a new setlist every tour then so can Green Day. Tour rehearsals exist so bands can find their groove.

Rush is so great. I'd be out of my mind if Green Day ever covered a Rush song. I'd kill for a cover of 2112 or Cygnus X-1.

They didn't, they were both in the setlist in Turin.  It looks like they just took Waiting out.

Plus, Scattered is my favorite.  So Billie leaves it in.

Oh, my bad then but still... I love Scattered but I would MUCH rather have Redundant.

I'd like them to do what they did with Dookie a couple years back at Reading for some shows on this tour. Play a good couple of songs, then an entire album and finish with some more songs/encore. I can't see this being feasible though, because there's always going to be people like "What if they play a trilogy album at my show?", "What if they play 21CB/1039, they're like an hour long!?" etc.

Seeing something like this live, particularly with Kerplunk, Insomniac or RevRad, would be a dream come true for me. They get to play an entire album, the well-known hits and a couple of deeper cuts, appealing to the majority of people

Scattered is fun as hell to play every time. Redundant is a pain to play and sing, fun to hear, pain to perform. Kerplunk! is at least getting some set time! Youngblood is also really, really fun to play and sing. Chump definitely should be done before Longview! Or Welcome To Paradise, I mean damn, it is probably the greatest and heaviest song they have ever made and it is on two albums. That or American Idiot would make for a great opener.

I had wished for Bang Bang to be the opener, too. But in defense of KYE, I must say that it works perfectly as an opener. It has such a great energy, the whole fucking place was on fire within three seconds. And taking a fan on stage right at the first song is a great way to get the party started, too. In one newspaper article of the show I went to two days ago the writer even said he'd never seen a band before that could set 11,2000 people on fire so fast with the very first song. Plus, I think they chose KYE for political reasons, too. Know your enemy Trump ;)

Yeah, but I would really love to hear Say Goodbye and/or Troubled Times, too. We'll see!

Has the band EVER went back and played an old song that they never played before?   I'm worried that "No One Knows" will be forgotten, never to be played at a single Green Day show.   It's possible they are saving it for their (gasp) final performance but probably not.

And what about Bab's, Panic and Westbound from Insomniac?   We're never going to hear them.

What about Walking Alone?

What about Poprocks and Coke?

Other than the Insomniac tracks I see a patteren.   Slow deep cuts lose.  Lol.

The 10 songs from Shenanigans that never see the light of stage.

Song of the Century played instead of PLAYED from a speaker.

The four songs from the Trilogy that have never been played.

I want ALL OF THESE.

The  band in 2009 debut Worry Rock and also when they  played the entire dookie they've debuted songs like sassafras roots, in the end, pulling Teeth and eminious sleepus which I don't think they ever played before.

Also during the  club shows they played stuart and the Ave which O think its a debut too.

I saw them play Waiting once and everyone was acting like it was the greatest thing ever afterwards but I don't even care about Waiting so it was wasted on me :P. Would much rather see Scattered!

The Trilogy I understand the situation.   Don't like it, but I understand.   Insomniac needs some love on this tour though.   What the crap.

Most bands/musicians do this on tour.  Hardly anyone plays something from every release, and they play heavily from their biggest album or albums.   It drives the OCD part of me INSANE.

Glad to see all the love for Scattered though.  That song is waaaaaaaaaaay up on my list of Green Day songs.

Oh, Scattered.

It reminds me of December 2014. One of the best months of my life. Snow, happiness and that Christmas atmosphere I couldn't live without. That song has a special meaning to me. I remember listening to it in dad's car while it was snowing outside and we were stuck in the middle of the street.

When GD played it live I was just jumping up and down. A piece of my life. Just that. :)

It bums me out also that they stick so hard to the hits these days. As everyone already said before, I think they really think of themselves more as hosts of a party and care about making sure everyone is having a good time, giving people some relief and escapism. Which equates to playing the bangers that are tried and true. On the flip side, if making people happy is what they really want to do, there is a good chunk of their audience that they would sure make happy if they played two or three more songs off Insomniac, Nimrod or Warning.

....Or 21st Century Breakdown or the Trilogy.  lol.

Well, they do play about 13-14 songs that aren't hits, but I know what you mean.   Two or three deep cuts could make all the difference in the world to a large percentage of the people there.

Yup, or either of those also. Basically any song that wasn't a single or hasn't been played a million times live before. Just a change of any kind!

I don't see the point in playing all the greatest hits all the time. We've heard these songs thousands of times! Play some new stuff! There's still loads from the new album that hasn't been played yet. It's only a 12 song album, it's not like it's 3 albums worth of material. By now, they should have played every song at least once. Troubled Times, TDTD, BOTW, Outlaws and Say Goodbye haven't been played yet. Unbelievable

RevRad has more potential than the trilogy did. It makes sense to play RevRad songs more to promote it. They should play Troubled Times now especially, considering the impact it's had since the lyric video release

It still baffles me that the only 21CB song they play now is KYE. That's one of the weakest song from an album with fantastic tracks. I'd love to hear about 15 of the 18 tracks live. Even during the 21CB era, there were still songs that never/rarely ever got played live like Restless Heart Syndrome, Horseshoes & Handgrenades. I'd like to hear more Warning and trilogy tracks live too

Deep cuts would be even better! Something never done before that's really simple (all of them). Like if he'd just take 5 minutes to throw the album on and remember the three chords in 86, that would be great. Pull that out and the pits will go insane!! Tre remembers it! Or anything unheard before like Walking Alone or Hold On. Preferrably faster like 86, Jinx, Haushinka or Welcome To Paradise more often. Someone mentioned Jackass before, me and my cover band do it and it's a lot of fun and is really simple, would be neat to hear them pull out these deep cuts more on this tour!

I don't think so. But it would be a dream for us fans. :)

86!

After I heard Stray Heart on MTV I decided to download some GD songs. 86 was the first of this list. So catchy and powerful. From that moment Insomniac is my favorite GD album. And live it would sound just SO GREAT!

As they're not even daring to open with a song from RevRad it doesn't seem that likely. But I would love it if they did!

This must be some bullshit, right?

I can't believe they played X-Kid, Nuclear Family and Let Yourself Go before I see it.

Where does it say that they played those songs on that link???
