Paola17
I understand the title track may not be the best song to open the show with, but then i think they should go back to opening with Bang Bang. This isnt the 21CB era , so while KYE is great for getting the crowd pumped, we are not back in 2009.
belinda jane
why couldn't they open with bang bang and then continue on with KYE? is that were they were previously doing? hmmmm. confusion.
Stefano Bras
Despite the setlist could be improved with some couple changes (getting rid of Know Your Enemy, Are We the Waiting/St. Jimmy, unnecessary KFD's Shout outro and replaced them with new songs like Say Goodbye, Outlaws and Too Dumb to Die) I'm happy with it, considering some songs are just mandatory and it's very difficult to make a good setlist. Stewe
I think the setlist change after this tour. I can't see them playing again in Europe and US with the same setlist

Oh hey there, is that you attacking Are We The Waiting/St Jimmy??? Kidding. However, I will say I disagree with you on that. On the trilogy tour, they didn't do Are We the Waiting and went straight into St Jimmy. It was a wonderful feeling hearing both this time around. Also, gotta love the energy that comes with St Jimmy. I will gladly replace KYE with some other song from 21CD-no arguments there.

Hermione
They open with KYE because they know for certain everyone knows it and they can keep the crowd's attention and get them joining in with it, and that's their priority. Like I said it's a chicken move , because they could achieve that with Bang Bang or another new song. But that's how they roll. I would've liked more new songs, but I'm so very pleased to see KFAD still on the setlist . May it remain there until the London show. 12 hours ago, lizziebix said: I don't get wanting to hear Somewhere Now as the opener and then again in Forever Now. Why does everyone want to hear it twice when you get to hear another option? They are not the same song, yes they are similar, but they are designed that way. Somewhere Now starts the album with a really great little plucking riff. Forever Now ends the album (sort of) with the exact same riff. That little riff brings the album full circle, I think it would be a great way to bring the concerts full circle as well.

Hearing the SN part repeated later in the album is so satisfying and I imagine that effect would only be magnified live. Stop Drop and Roll opening and closing a show (plus another four times in between lol) was totally satisfying, I'd love to experience a similar coming full circle thing at a Green Day show. I'm in love with every single song on American Idiot and those two are no exceptions but if they're gonna cut the setlist short to put some new songs in I'm afraid one song or two from AI will have to get replaced since they play 7 of them every night and well.. the other options are mandatory on a Green Day gig (American Idiot, JOS, Holiday, BOBD, Letterbomb) Totally agreeing with you on that one, I would welcome East Jesus Nowhere or 21 Guns with open arms instead of KYE, fuck, even the title tack or Murder City

stuckwithme409
I'd love to see: 1. RevRad 2. KYE 3. Bang Bang 4. Holiday 5. East Jesus Nowhere 6. Letterbomb 7. Too Dumb 8. Bvd Old songs. could honestly be any song off 1039, kerplunk, Dookie, insomniac, and nimrod Waiting Homecoming Minority Usual Encore 1 & 2. So Billie, Mike, Tre, or Jason. If you are reading this, I'll be at the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati shows!

X-Kid_88
I would genuinely love to see some trilogy songs. Regardless of how the trilogy is looked upon as a whole, it doesn't deserve to be forgotten (pardon the pun). I'm sure we can all agree that there are at least a few songs over the three albums that are really good if not better. Also id like to tick some songs off of my list of green day songs I have still to see live...some of my favourites like stuck with me and one of my lies included. Also I'd like the acoustic to go back to the sort of medley he used to play...maybe a minute or two of 3 songs for nostalgia's sake and then go into ordinary world and good riddance. And I would absolutely lose my mind if he played an acoustic version of brutal love...

greendepent
They stick with the mess that trilogy left on sets. They have this nasty habit of starting with the coldest of sets, like they like to build some confidence in their performing to starting some variations. Other schemes still present, like boulevard to close the first set of "new songs" (2004 onwards), the classic trilogy of Basket Case, She and KFAD, followed by the "slow" song of the moment, in this case, Still Breathing. Cutting songs is not new, but at this time of their lives they could make less "hey oh" and play the songs full. Is not like Billie has to effort himself too much to sing their own stuff. I mean, cutting Christie Road doesn't make a favor to anyone. I'm glad that song is becoming a staple of the set, same to Scattered, but they can do more and better. I think they need to sit and rotate stuff, or have some variations from night to night, like playing East Jesus Nowhere instead Holiday one night and switch around. They could dich Are we the waiting for Before the lobotomy, or St. Jimmy for Platypus, or something like that. I hope that some songs from the new album see the light soon. Is not like that I like revrad too much, but songs are meant to be played. With only 5 songs (7 overall) played at the moment, I'm scared that we won't hear Too Dumb to die or anything else. Is a tour for new stuff, not a revisit for overplayed classics.
Stewe
They always need to balance new and old stuff. Also they've played half RevRad live
St. Jonny
Fuck yes, pulled put 2000 Light Years Away last night. Nothing from Insomniac now though, serious bummer. How long does it take to play one of the following: Geek Stink Breath, Armatage Shanks or Stuart And The Ave.? C'mon dudes! And seems they have dropped Waiting from the last two shows, I wanted to see that live! Hope it comes back.
bouncingoffthewallbja
Even though I always think that Welcome to Paradise should be an opener, they should get rid of Know Your Enemy/King for a Day etc, and play more stuff off Nimrod, Insomniac and Kerplunk, I know come the show, my expectations and requests will be thrown out of the window just for the fact that they could play anything for two hours and I'll be ecstatic just to see them in the flesh
