stories and songs
I like that both RevRad and Bang Bang's intros have been different from their norms. Reminds me a bit of Lazy Bones, which I think has SUCH an awesome intro even though it's quite different for them. Although come to think of it, some of their best songs (IMO) have unique openings. 21CB, Viva La Gloria (Little Girl), Holiday... The more I think about it, the more I think maybe they don't have a standard when it comes to intros.
Stefano Bras
It's crazy how different people's opinion are about the title track. I'm personally loving the new single and have a really good feeling about the new album.
ThranaM
Well it does say Revultion Radio Single 2016 on Spotify so I guess it's more or less official that it will be released soon

It offers something a little different while still sticking to a very classic sound that we're used to. To each their own, I'm just surprised. Harry Potter.
That vocal filter sucks. Sounds more like a trilogy outtake than Bang Bang. Bang Bang is better. As of now it seems like Revolution Radio switches everything around too much to become memorable.

Nothing wrong with that either to be honest, it's like the trilogy had a wall of sound added to it. Quality song.

Spoiler Btw, the trilogy indeed has a very "green day" sound whether or not you like the trilogy.

This reminds me much more of something that would show up on American Idiot or 21CB, with some Insomniac in it. It still keeps reminding me a lot of Static Age, actually. Maybe it sounds like Uno as well, but I don't think it sounds particularly Trilogy-like. Out of the Trilogy, Dos was the only album that didn't have that typical Green Day sound to me, and this doesn't sound like it would ever fit on Dos, so as long as it sounds like one of the other two Trilogy albums that's fine by me! I'm sorry but what? This sounds NOTHING like Insomniac. Chimey vocals, poppy guitars, and a melody based solo is the exact opposite of what Insomniac was. This song is suuuppperrr poppy. Steven Seagull
This would fit on Uno really good. I'm really relieved now that Revolution Radio is out. After Bang Bang I wasn't expecting much from this album but with this song out I know Bang Bang was just one bad song that I will have to skip. Revolution Radio 24/7! DookieLukie
I will say that the chorus is one of the catchier ones they've made in the past few albums. "My love's bulletproof" is a nicely delivered line and just a good lyric overall. Most of the lyrics are cheesy/tacky though.

I think what she meant was that she heard hints of Insomniac due to the simplicity of the song and considering is not entirely alike to songs from AI and 21CB, she made an inbetween between 2000's Green Day and Insomniac.
