03 - Revolution Radio

I was going to resist listening but then I got really bored waiting to wash out my hair dye so I listened :P I like it, especially the intro. Right now I prefer Bang Bang, but this may well grow on me more.

It only concerns me that the album is going to be overproduced. I really don't like such a vocal filter. Trilogy to me would have been much better without sterile sounding. After first listening of revrad I thought to myself it sounds like umpteen sweet-hardcore pop-punk songs but I listen to revrad all the time and it's getting better though I'm not impressed. It really fits into 21st CB that I really like. Is somebody here that dislike 21st CB album and love that song?

Don't like the filter? you must hate AI then as the filter is used on that as well

It seems to me that this song would have been a lot better if they were working with a producer.

I love the intro and the chorus. The lyrics are amazing. The only thing I don't like about it are the palm muted verses. I feel like everytime they do that is for pure lazyness... I'd like it much better without it.

Also the intro reminded me bands BJ loves like The Replacements. It's got that 80s punk vibe on it.

Overall I like it, but with the feeling that with a little more work on it it could have been a great lead single.

Wasn't too hard to see this coming at all  though

Haha true. But other people were predicting that Still Breathing would be the next song that we would hear before the album comes out.

The guitar and bass solos are great, the rest of the song is good, but not great. It feels like something that would have fit nicely on Dos, but not in the top 50% of their discography (so far.. Could be a grower).

Still really excited for the album!

With it being on their list of songs to play live and it being the only other song on iTunes with a song length, idunno maybe it was just a few of us that figured it out :P

I can see how long the track is (like Bang Bang—can't see the times of the others yet), but that's all. Can't buy it yet.

Don't know why but my itunes opened the New Zealand website, since it's already friday there it must have been already released.

Friday release confirmed.

I really like the song! Already singing along to it! I don't think it's as good as Bang Bang... Yet. But I think it might be a song that gets better the more you hear it

It's already 9th in New Zealand, isn't it?  Does this confirm a Friday 9th September release of Revolution Radio?

It does.

I love it!  Holy shit.

Also, remember everyone, people are allowed to discuss their dislike for the song as much as other people are allowed to discuss their love for the song.

I see what you mean, but I feel like part of the charm of this album is that it was just them with no outside input. Outside perspective always makes creative work better, whether it's editing or producing or directing. But I like the idea that this is exactly what they meant to create, even if more opinions could've bettered the quality a little.

It doesn't really sound anything like Green Day. That intro is so different from what they typically do. Kind of poppy when the album was advertised as harder. Vocals are really overproduced. Chorus is the best part. Lyrics are meh. Vocals are chimey and overly pitch-corrected. They're overdoing it with the callback vocals. Song really feels all over the place. Definitely not as impressed by this as Bang Bang.
