It's been compared to AI and 21CB dozens of times already, and that's no coincidence. It sounds like it could have easily been written during either era, both instrumentally and lyrically! If you're a fan of either album (or both!) I don't see what there could be to dislike about this track:)

AI and 21CB are my two favorite, but I think this is one of the weaker tracks on the Rev Rad.  I still like it, but I don't know that I can really describe why I think it is weaker.  Maybe because compared to the o ther tracks on teh album it is just not that unique

I don't hear AI or 21CB. I hear the trilogy. And this song is a highlight of the album.

Aren't the digital pre-orders great? I pre-ordered Andy Black's The Shadow Side in April, and the final single was Beautiful Pain, but I didn't get the download for it until a week after it was released. Moot point. :P

Also, this song has been stuck in my head for literal days... I'll be working and start humming to realize it's the chorus from RevRad haha

I got the new issue of Entertainment Weekly today and this song made to the number 4 spot of their "15 Fresh Songs For Fall".

"with its monstrous riffs, radio-ready chorus, and incendiary political message, this recalls American Idiot in all the right ways"

Also, my friend's 6 year old daughter sang this song for me last night haha. She said vasoline instead of gasoline, it was hilarious

This feels like the GD we know and love! By far my favourite on the album.

I keep having mixed feelings. It's catchy but the lyrics bug me

Definitely, I love most of the music behind me but the lyrics are such generic cliché revolution fare I just cringe. Also how does "my love's bulletproof" fit in with the rest of the song? The chorus feels like he was just sticking random rhyming phrases together.

Biggest issue with the entire LP.

The more I listen to it the more I like and it's one of the ones that are really getting stuck in my head.

This is fun as hell to play on guitar. Good lyrics, one of my favorites off the album! The solo is awesome, makes you feel like you are soaring through the sky or something.

The weakest on the album... and that's a compliment!

Really fun song to play and sounds like the best bits of the Trilogy.

Every day I've been waking up with either this song or Bouncing Off the Wall in my head! Love it more and more every listen!

It really shows that I truly loved the Trilogy when my favourite songs on this album are the ones that would fit in there the better! Truth is I really don't care much about lyrics anymore. I'm more up for the  fun and musical power of songs :P

The lyrics of the album are really good tho.

I honestly like this song more and more. I just think it's a masterfully written power pop tune!

I feel sorry for this song. I don't think it's getting the love it deserves. It's not my favorite, but I've liked it since the first listen. It's catchy, fun to sing along to, great when they perform it live, and sounds very GD-ish. It's surprising to me that it doesn't seem to be very well liked, especially in the results of the poll. It certainly isn't one of the worst songs on the album, in my opinion.
