Honestly they could fart in a booth for 3 minutes and I'd still buy the recording of it.

I'd buy it even if it was only 1 minute 30 long.

Spoiler

Does this make me a better fan?

I found it easily by googling Revolution Radio leak, going onto Search tools and limiting the search to Past 24 hours.

If you're having trouble finding it, try doing that

I'll say again that I really love the chorus. What do you all thing of the callback vocals in this song and in Bang Bang? Why the sudden use?

I think that the call back vocals are used to be reminiscent of radio feedback.  It just kind of goes with the album title and them.

FYI, I like the song, not as much as Bang Bang, but I do get where you are coming from, it is very poppy which is why I said I thought it could have cross over appeal.

@Matt. you are SO above the "like it or get out" attitude and you know it. I really love Green Day and I admit that I will overreact sometimes over their stuff because I have such an emotional connection to them. I'm sorry if I'm overly critical, but I'm just saying how I feel.

Someone posted this on our GDA Facebook page about the song, and I think I 100% agree: "I love this, sounds kinda like if the Beatles made a punk song"

I'm sorry if someone already posted them, but I found these lyrics on the web, I think they're pretty accurate. I hope the people who were complaining for the "too much metaphorical" lyrics of Bang Bang this time will be satisfied :P

[Verse 1]
Stay with your hands up in the sky, like you want to testify
For the life that's been deleted, sing like a rebel's lullaby
Under the stars and stripes, for the lost souls that were cheated
We will be seen but not be heard

[Chorus]
We are, revolution radio
Operation no control
In the headline, my love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Carry guitars and treachery
In the headline, we call lies the truth

[Verse 2]
Give me rage like there's tear gas in the crowd
Do you want 'em allowed, but the air is barely breathing
Lies, all the slums to the obsolete
The dawn of the new airwaves for the anti-social media

[Chorus]
We are, revolution radio
Operation no control
In the headline, my love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Carry guitars and treachery
In the headline, we call lies the truth

[Bridge]
We will be seen but not be heard
We are the songs of the destroyed

[Chorus]
We are, revolution radio
Operation no control
In the headline, my love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Carry guitars and treachery
In the headline, we call lies the truth

I don't know, the two songs are politically charged. I guess they just wanna go with the "rallying" and "protest" sound. I think "We will be seen but not be heard" backs it up. It's not bothering me atm but I hope it's not a running theme on the album.

This sounds more melodic, I enjoy Billie Joe's voice better than Bang Bang. Looks like we're going to have a really great record: powerful, full of anger and rage, and with a lot of energy from the band.
These songs will be amazing to be heard live :runaround:

I listened to the song while reading the lyrics.  You can definitely appreciate William Joseph's writing skills and the song a lot more.  I like it a lot and I'm not even drunk.

Song has a lot of energy. I don't think it's bad by any means, but in terms of quality it's more She's a Rebel than Holiday.

I guess I was just hoping for less by the books Green Day on this record. Some more complex stuff.

I'm just bummed out because someone at a Kerrang/Rolling Stone article had pointed it out as being similar to American Idiot (the song) :P never trust those "it sounds like that song" lines

The hilarious bit is then these critics would complain that they sound just like "AI, WTP, Holiday.....blahblah"

I don't listen to critics, I don't care about others opinions on the bit...I just listen to GD

The song is only growing on me even more with every listen, can't wait to hear it live.

And here we are, already starting to compare this song with other GD's works...so boring!
Anyway I really think that this is the real GD road. BJ writes amazing social-politic lyrics, and when they're angry they sound very good.
Thanks Donald Trump for making these guys so angry :toocool:

The vocal filters sound nothing like they did on the Trilogy, they sound like they're right out of the AI/21CB era.

I like it. Probably not as much as Bang Bang but it's still pretty good.

I just can't stand the whole call and response thing "we call lies THE TRUTH". It's easily the worst part of the song
