Hermione
Can it not be accepted that sometimes someone will have something about a song to criticise and sometimes someone will have something about a song to praise? As long as no one's being obnoxious about it I don't see any reason for objections, anger and personal comments over opinions on songs being expressed.

It was a pleasant surprise. ya, I take the long route to where ever I'm driving to just to hear it on the radio. I've heard it twice and it's like the radio station just woke up! One time, Bang Bang followed an Oasis song (WonderWall) and then my speakers blew up cuz the station played B.B right after and it made me feel like I just drank an espresso. P.S. I don't mind all the gas I wasted waiting to hear B.B. on the radio. Sorry Ozone Layer.
Marki.
I'm surprised they're only filming the music video now... I can't wait to see what they've come up with, really hope it's out soon! It'll draw a lot more attention to Bang Bang.
Steven Seagull
Not that surprising. The filming usually takes 2 days and editing about about a week. Music video for Oh Love was also released a month after the lyrics video.
Beerjeezus
It actually makes sense, they need to build up the hype during September so shooting this week fits into the time frame very well. Btw, I heard BB get a mention on a mainstream radio station. The DJ talked about bb and revrad, and then played "their latest single: 21 Guns!" Why would you talk about their latest single and then not play the single?

Marki.
Yeah, filming a music video doesn't require that much time I guess, I don't know why I thought that they must already have it filmed and ready. I just hope they really do build up the hype during September... 50 minutes ago, Jane Lannister said: "their latest single: 21 Guns!" Beerjeezus
@ Jenn123 @Sixtrix I think it was during an hour of millenium songs or something but it still sounded weird. At least BB got a mention - I don't think poppy stations like this one would play it. He also quoted Billie saying 21G is an "unofficial anthem of patriots". I wonder if it's legit. Hmm I remember him saying it's about divorce/relationships more than anything, he might have acknowledged it could also be taken to be about war etc but I can see him saying that, doesn't sound very legit. I never listen to the radio so I haven't heard Bang Bang anywhere other than just playing it myself yet, can't wait to see the video on Scuzz when it's out.
Jean
Quote Today I got to hang out with a bunch of my favorite Suicide Girls and #GreenDay all day for the filming of their first music video in four years directed by my good friend#TimTimebomb 😍 If you would've told my 6 year old self that this day would come, I would've lost my fucking mind. Green Day was my first favorite band.#BillieJoeArmstrong was my first crush. Today was fucking dope, and I'm super grateful for my life. Love you all. Here's a photo of me and #TreCool right after I told him about my pet Crayfish that was named after him in elementary school .. Cray Cool. Suicide Girls? I hope this isn't another video like Oh Love...

To be honest from Playboy to Suicide Girls is already a big aesthetic step, let's see the context where they're acting, for example I love the "bang bang" part of the Holiday's music video. Girls dancing in a punk rock video is not necessarily synonymous of Oh Love, and I expect something completely different from Tim Armstrong and Kerslake, given their curriculum.

DookieLukie
Well that's about the most obnoxious Instagram post I've seen in a while. Can she be any more stereotypical and basic? And wtf is a Suicide Girl?

I need to see the video to judge how it will fit with Green Day. This is a video where Lindsey Jennings acts, I think she is the one with half shaved hair. So basically they're conventionally attractive, skinny-as-twigs girls who have tattoos and like comic books. Cuz those kind of girls are totally hated in society, right? Billie Hoe
Please no half naked 'sexy' dancing girls, I'm so tired of that I still hope it will be somewhat artistic and meaningful, but god... this Instagram post is taking away a chunk of hope. Dunno how a few dancing girls will fit the thematic of Bang Bang but I guess I will let it surprise me... Edit: Jesus, that website... yikes.

Popular Post Teenage Lush
i saw that picture on facebook earlier and was waiting for the complaints to start coming in over the suicide girls bit the uproar among green day fans about the girls in the oh love video was so over the top.

Bakabanas
Last Of The American Girls video would have been better without those two dancing blondes... Bang Bang video?... we'll see.
jumpsalty
I've seen a few posts from people in the video, I think it was crowd shots by the looks of it. And I think they were just going for a stereotypically alternative look/feel, the guys in the pictures all looked the same
Hero_Of_The_Hour
So the actors are suicide girls. So what? It doesn't mean anything. Watch the Jesus of Suburbia video ever? The punks in it could just as easily be suicide girls if you didn't know better. These girls could be portraying punks. I highly doubt we can expect a replica of Oh Love video unless Green Day are completely brain dead. A video of the band laying about covered in half naked models, getting drunk and otherwise portraying the "rockstar lifestyle" would look idiotic for a song about a mass shooter.

I'm not saying this is how the Bang Bang video will be, it's just that Oh Love traumatized me a bit Although, it could fit the "give me death or give me head" line, if they show these girls like, shortly and not throughout the entire video. We'll see
