As far as my pop station, they have a 'throwback Thursday' day, and I've heard Green Day, Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, etc, artists that you don't hear a lot of their old work on a normal day. Any other day, all they play is Justin Bieber and Nikki Minaj. I may give it a try, just a fleeting effort to hear Bang Bang on the radio in all its beautiful punk-rock glory. Yeah I wouldn't subject myself to that.😌

bjafan129
So I preordered the Red Vinyl and was suppose to get a Bang Bang download with it an never got an email. Did this happen to anyone else?
21guns&novacaine
Soo... Now I have a question. Green Day said a while back that they wanted to destroy the term 'Pop punk' with their new album. Do you guys think they succeeded with that from what we can tell from this single?

Billie says "holy" while the backing vocals say something but I don't hear "war" anywhere. I can't hear "Martyr." I always hear "model" 😤 I don't hear the "r" 59 minutes ago, bjafan129 said: So I preordered the Red Vinyl and was suppose to get a Bang Bang download with it an never got an email. Maddie86
in regards to the vinyl pre-order and the download, I never even checked my e-mail. As soon as my order went through the confirmation page had a link to the download and that's what I used. I have yet to receive my email about the idiot club membership though

Also, I noticed, if you make an account during checkout, you should be able to log in and access the My Downloads tab to access the file. It says that you're allowed 10 downloads of each file purchased. Hopefully, that helps anyone still waiting on an email.
BucksCoEric
I feel like this might be an unnecessary question to ask but what would you guys rename bang bang if you could? or would you just keep it the same name? I think if it was called celebrity martyr or semi automatic lonely boy thatd be a better name.

Daddy's Little Psycho seems a bit much, but I'd take either over 'Bang Bang'

I went out this evening and I took the long way to my destination, and then the long way back. I didn't hear it on the station that was played ONCE in my car. The other rock station has a 'double shot' weekend - first song was Basket Case, second song was NOT 'Bang Bang'.... it was Brainstew/ no Jaded if ya wanna know. So, I drove a lil bit more because I only heard it ONCE in my car. Well, I wasted gas and no Bang Bang. Bright side - scenic views to my destination and on the way back. TommyCarcetti
A buddy of mine heard Bang Bang 4 times on the radio Thursday. Not surprising considering Baltimore/DC market has several big rock & alternative stations. I heard Bang Bang on the radio for the first time myself today (98 Rock Baltimore). It appears to be getting more playtime than any of the trilogy singles.

Popular Post Dai.
I think Bang Bang encompasses the song's meaning the best, wouldn't change it.

I guessed this before... soo, Green Day is in Cali. at the moment I believe. Jimmy Kimmel is out in Cali. I think Jimmy Fallon is in N.Y? Oh and Colbert is in N.Y. but whatever.... I truly believe they start their live T.V. performances will start in early September. I feel they are gonna practice their live performances in OTIS until their already blistered hands and fingers grow more blisters over the other ones. But that's just my guess. Let the masses hear them on the radio for a few weeks and then BAM! or BANG BANG! Here we are live! 15 minutes ago, XPursuitOfEpicnessX said: Mom said it was too punk for her lmao My mom listens to Nat King Cole....the song may cause her a lil concussion without even being hit. So I refrain to let my parents listen to it. If they do listen to it and like it I would think at first, Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright - but then afterwards I would have to say - they just seem a little weird.

That part "I wanna be a celebrity...". I don't know maybe they did that on purpose. The song gets the best on that "World war zero" part, minus that arabic music before it. It should be more angry maybe with a chorus like Stuart And The Ave (the song even has "You're mommy's little nightmare" line in it ). I just realized the "Mommy's little nightmare" part today! I feel like Billie like's that mommy, daddy theme a lot. I wonder if the Arabic music part is what made someone say this song reminded them of Peacemaker. But yeah my local stations dont play it either. These same stations censor Ride by 21 Pilots because it says the word bullet.

Do ya think that only the elite CNN's and the FOX news can talk about it.... one is a liberal channel, the other a republican agenda channel. Alt.Rock stations should have NO agenda so they must be afraid of having a lil discussion about it. Well, not the DJ's, but the program directors. Seems like we had more freedom in '04 when American Idiot came out on the radio and Holiday as well. 12 years and NOW we we are scared. Again, where I'm from they censor AI and Holiday just as heavily. Sometimes removing entire chunks of the songs just because of a single word! Radio stations have agendas because their sponsors have agendas. They're not going to say anything that their funding doesn't approve of.
