Also, the fact that they're talking about the LA show is a good thing, because it means they're all recovering nicely and don't intend on canceling more dates. Good stuff.

Imagine if those affected were all curled up in their beds, tissues up noses and thermometers in mouths, aching and groaning over the fact they can't breathe through their noses properly or move without feeling like they're breaking bones, reading this thread behind their hidden usernames or guest status' and just feeling more like shit because y'ALL CANT SIMMER THE FUCK DOWN????

The reason why each band member hasn't actually come out and spoken about the whole thing could actually be because they're not allowed to. They have PR people to do that are paid to do that stuff for them. As for the project chimp thing, that was just funny timing and he most likely would've put up that tweet at the exact same time had shows been cancelled or not. He's partnered with an organization he cares about and there's a lot of behind the scenes work that would go into just making the meet and greet happen before even announcing it. Stop reading into it all too deeply about how he's choosing to not respond. THEY SICK, LET THEM BE SICK.

Oh look more bold typing. I don't know who the "y'all" are you feel need to "simmer the fuck down" but nobody is even excited. The project chimps discussion only came up because I pointed out that the people on Green Day's Facebook page are bitching about it and the fact that the band have the ability to read non flattering comments on their own social media

Tre isn't sick, he was seen bowling yesterday and he is doing an interview tonight.

On another note, I was just listening to AltNation and the DJ said that there is nothing confirmed, but that the cancelled dates will most likely be rescheduled for Dec.

I would like to hear more about this chat on the radio thing please.

You mean the Altnation thing?  I stream Altnation, they play Bang Bang alot.  They did a news broadcast and the DJ said that the band has an infection and had to postpone the 3 shows and cancel one.  Then she said that nothing is confirmed but that she heard the shows will be rescheduled for Dec.  That was all.  Sorry, wish I had more for you.

Actually, they are playing Bang Bang as I type this and they had a little intro from the band.  It was the first time I heard the intro.  It made me happy.

For those of you who are upset about the band members' lack of posting about their illness, they're sick so idk if they really wanna post stuff on social media. And its definitely possible they're not allowed to now either. I feel like it'd make sense for them to post about it when they feel better and are about to start touring. Something like hey thanks for all the well wishes we're feeling better and can't wait to hit the road.

honestly, the "fans" bitching about no updates from the band about new show dates for the postponed shows and all this stuff are so rude .. you should be ashamed of yourselves!

new information will be released soon

Funny, but some (not all) of the ones most butthurt, weren't even going to the postponed or cancelled shows

Jeez, there always has to be that ONE GUY who is disrespectful and self-entitled, eh? :P

I also got the e-mail from Ticketmaster and I'm for sure not refunding my tickets! I am excited to see them perform while they are in better health. I'm still just so anxious about when they will be coming to Detroit.

On a plus, since Revolution Radio will be out by then, I will hopefully be able to memorize all of the lyrics if they are performed.

I love how you think it's not okay for fans to have different theories, but it is okay to insult them.

If you had the slightest idea how much something like this would cost the band 'money wise' at the launch of the biggest band in the world's new album, you'd be a little more insightful as to why it's happening. I have NO IDEA what is, but I do think it's more than the band and crew having the flu.

The biggest band in the world....ummm no i freaking love green day but at the moment they are far from the greatest band in the world in terms of popularity etc, not even close!

EDIT - I Demand to see a picture of Bille puking as proof!

How the fuck does one go about getting a refund for the Toronto show tickets ...? I need that fuckin fifty bucks back mang, and TM hasn't replied to my support ticket.

Edit: nvm! I just decided to use TicketMaster's Live Chat help feature and some cool bro named Alexander refunded both my tix. So there's that.

lol are you for real?

yes. do you have to say something of substance in relation to my statement? i'm open to discuss it.  do you think a person being obsessed with new technology products to consume has a fullfilling life? sounds rather sad to me and i wouldn't care, if it weren't for those people to affect the world in a negative way. but whatever... who would care?

Peoples views of art and opinions differ so vastly. I'm not a "rush to the next iPhone guy" but I can see why people want to experience the next new technology and see how it impacts them. To those people, technology is art sure it's factory produced but the design team are artists.

To many of my friends and family they can't believe I would sleep on the streets of a city just to be a little closer to the band. That's my view of art.

You shouldn't really call people pathetic humans because they don't fit your ideals. It's really offensive to many people on here.

i hope i offend people who deserve it. a new album doesn't contribute to, what makes this world for many people a horrible place. let's not consider the negative influence of modern technology on the minds of people, alright. but what about the blood you have on your hands for buying every new iphone, which you don't need for fucks sake. i'm not free from this. i'm typing this from a laptop probably relying on the same resources that are traded by warlords to fund civil wars in africa, or the worker exploitation in developing countries or bric states. where people work for 1$ 15 hours a day in terrible conditions.

consumers have power. and if you decide to use your power to buy every new product there is, then you are responsible.  many people lack that awareness. they don't realize how they are contributing to this madness.

edit: just saw your response second favourite. allright, anyone wishing to answer can write me a pm.
