Yeah, me too tbh. Please Green Day, give us some proper pro-quality live footage! Anything! It's been 4 years (7 since the last live album / live DVD)!

Yeah, I'd maybe even take a simple plain edit of the footage recorded on the standard onstage cameras, coupled with Green Day's own mixed and mastered audio:

So, like what's being shown here on the screens on the side of the stage, except with pro-audio... :

When they first produce a DVD (if they ever will), i just want it to be a excellent movie.

I remember in 2009 or 2010 they showed their MTV World Stage gig in cinemas round here for one night only and it was SO GOOD. I'd love it if they did that again, either streamed a gig live (or as live as possible) or recorded one and showed it in cinemas, then release it on DVD. I kind of want a making of revrad too though, I wanna see how they brought everything together on their own.

The dude might be someone from Green Day though. But, I don't care who it is tbh.

Whoever it is though, I f***ing hate him/her/them!

There simply is no good rational reason to not release any pro-shot footage around this time, except if they were planning a live DVD/CD release, which we have determined to be more than unlikely.

So yeah, Warner/Green Day/whoever, you've run out of excuses!

Yeah and though I hate today's MTV in general, it has to be admitted that editing and sound (especially the mixing) were absolute top notch! For some I'd say preferable to BIAB, certainly better than AAF with it's over-processed video and audio...

I thought at the time and still do today that a smarter promotional move would have been:

1. Show the short 45 min. MTV world stage on TV

2. Broadcast the full show in cinemas (and more than they ended up doing).

3. Release the full concert on DVD a while later (together with the AAF CD). I think they could have done Tokyo as bonus footage, but the crowd and ambiance was much better at the Munich gig!

Actually, thinking about it, this is a thing they could do for this tour too (though they won't).

So, do the afore mentioned steps (choose a location in South America, the crowds there are amazing)!  MTV / YouTube , Cinema, DVD (or just skip MTV and Cinema) and then release it together with something like a collection of songs from the RevRad tour (like AAF) or a special concert, like the legendary House Of Blues 2015 performance...

Oh man, I could dream on for days about this kind of thing...

Only thing chart wise this week for Revolution Radio is is moving up two spots from #23 to #21 on the Alternative charts.  Staying the same or falling on the others.

And one year ago this week Bang Bang was atop the Mainstream Rock chart.  How time flies. :)

It's the only reason I've been wondering why they  have played every setlist the same this leg, to practice but there is no dual show planned on this leg so no DVD, unless they perform for nobody for the inserts.

It would be a fairly well selling DVD with the success of RevRad but why would people buy what they've seen 5 times?

We still have a chance that the Global Citizen Festival performance in New York (or parts of it) will be streamed. I hope it happens! I'm also still kind of waiting for the BST Hyde Park highlights to air on Sky Arts like last year. I wrote them and asked about this, but I didn't get a reply.

Also, I still think it's possible that they will record a show in South America. So I don't know, I'm not too pessimistic that we will get something by the end of this tour. Desperate, but not hopeless :)

Yeh man just as each day pass i get more and more frustrating because of the lack of pro shot footage. THEY PLAYED HYDE PARK AND OAKLAND COLISEUM AND WHY THE FCK DIDNT U MAKE A EAGLE ROCK PRODUCED CONCERT MOVIE???????

A tiny, tiny part of me has some hope left that footage from their show at the Nova Rock festival in Austria will see the light of day eventually. It was one of the biggest (or probably THE biggest?) crowd they played this tour, over 200,000 people were at the festival. Not all of them were at the Green Day show, but the majority surely was. It was a hell of a crowd and a hell of a show. And they definitely recorded the footage and have access to it, because parts of it were used to make the trailer for the US tour. So I absolutely don't get why they gave permission to show parts of the Rock am Ring performance in 2013, but not this one.

Is it entirely up to the record company which songs get released as singles and get airplay? Because I can't help thinking TDTD would sound phenomenal on the radio. I really wish it were the next single, it sounds more radio friendly, shorter and catchier than FN. I guess I'm just wondering who decided FN (as great a song as it is) would make a great single. I think TDTD fits right in on my local alt rock station.

I think the social media channels has improved a bit lately, probably because we have got a new management, but it's still one hell of a long way to go!

Wow, more than 3000 empty seats? That's a lot. I don't really trust those stats though. But was it really that empty? I mean, I don't really care, but it's kind of weird that they can sell out Hyde Park, but not a venue with less than 10.000 seats.

RevRad chart positions this week

Alternative: Down to 22 from 21 last week
Rock Airplay: Down to 31 from 22 last week
Mainstream: Down to 22 from 17 last week

So it seems RevRad has reached its peak on the charts now. Compared to SB and BB, it hasn't done great but still ok chart positions for the 3rd single of the album. Hopefully Forever Now can make an impact when it's released. Idk what the deal is with Somewhere Now, it was confirmed as a UK single but it hasn't seemed to chart on anything, I'm not sure if it's officially been released as a single yet or not.

Don't think FN will be a great single, i think it's a bit too long for mainstream..

I sincerely do not understand this crazy desire most of you have for yet another live album/film. They are playing relatively the same exact setlist that they've been playing for years. Why on earth would they release ANOTHER album of the same live songs? That makes no sense.

You also realize that it's not commercially viable to release a live record now, right? Who are they planning to sell it to? Just their "hardcore fans" or whatever? Your average joe is not going to go out and purchase or stream a live Green Day album.

I also don't get why sales numbers matter to any of you? Do you think their wallets are hurting? Do you think they're going to quit making music because they're not selling as many tickets as they used to? Of course not. Who cares?! Just enjoy the damn music.

I agree with you. It doesn't have to be a proper live-DVD. Some videos of the tour on their YouTube channel would do. Unlike other bands, they didn't give permission to any festival or TV channel to stream or broadcast their performances. So we have ZERO material from this tour. This is frustrating, especially for those fans who didn't get the opportunity to see them live. That's what I hope for. And I guess some of us think that the lack of pro shot footage is an indicator for a ne DVD.

 You make a good point but at the same time it's hard to explain why as a fan it feels good to see them have success. It's not about the money, it's more like rooting for your sports team. To me, sellouts, awards, record sales are not the ultimate important thing but they're like wins. And Green Day are having a great season this year. I think our team could take the cup! 😂 Silly I know, but that's the only way I can explain something that is essentially irrational. Plus I know success in their career makes them happy and that makes me happy too.
