I don't know if it's a good idea to let Billie play the role of St. Jimmy. Sure, it's his music, his album and therefore his film, but it's not very convincing if a 45 year old man plays a teenager/young man in an existential crisis, right? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it would be better if a younger actor played that role. However, I doubt that this movie  will get made in the near future, even though I would love to see it.

This may be what they're hoping to improve with some new management who knows. But one thing for sure the prices are cheap -- most arena and stadium shows are upwards of $150 nowadays. They would gross more with a price increase though I know (and appreciate) they're reluctant to do that.

I think it's also worth noting however that this is their most expensive ticket prices ever.

Andres,

When can we expect the publication of the interview conducted by J'net with GD?

Maybe she has info about a possible dvd for the current tour.

Yeah, I'll say it again: why the hell aren't the alarm bells ringing at Green Day HQ? They barely sold 2/3 of all tickets for a venue in their own home town!

You don't think changing managers is a sign of alarm bells?

12,000 empty seats in Oakland? Wow.

Ouch. Still seems weird though. I mean, they sold out Hyde Park with more than 60,000 people. It should have been possible to sell out their home town show. I don't think GD tickets are over-priced, many other bands charge much more and offer much less. What's wrong with the American Green Day fans?:(

I just dont think they was selling to capacity because how they couldn't have half the pitch and stuff, because there was no tickets left I Believe

That thing of "they could only have half the pitch" is complete BS. No band would book a stadium show with half the pitch closed off. If Green they sold enough tickets the whole pitch would have been used. The fact is it sold poorly so they had no need to use part of the pitch and the organisers bunched the people that were there into a section close to the stage. For along time Green Days social media accounts were promoting this every few days because it was so undersold.

No band would ever book a venue that they couldn't use to capacity, they would have just booked an other venue.

This is simply false. It is a sports arena not configured for a concert so right away a large percent of the seats are obstructed view and not usable and because it is baseball season, they were not allowed on the diamond to protect its condition so fewer field tickets could be sold.

Even so, 25,000 is a large capacity, there could be no other venue where they could sell 25,000 seats in Oakland (that's bigger than Oracle Arena I believe)

You will always have seats that are behind the stage or obstructed view. That's normal and not what I'm saying.

Even with the diamond not allowed to be used there was still lots of area on the pitch that were completely empty and it looked absolutely terrible in the pictures.

It was full straight back to the barrier and the sides tapered off where the speakers obstructed your view. Every viewable spot was filled, from the stage pov you can see that. The view from the back is misleading. It's not about filling every available inch of grass, people will only stand where they can see the stage.

I'm trying not to be worried about Wrigley.  Tom Petty was just listed at selling it out at just over 40,000.  Tickets for everything other than the first (most expensive) level are still listed as available and it's in 8 days.  Ads for it are popping up on my Facebook all the time, so it is being pushed.

St Jimmy isn't necessarily a teenager or young man though. He (or she) is a figment of Johnny (JOS)'s imagination so technically St Jimmy can be anyone or anything!
