Because they're older :ermm:

To be fair, I saw Coldplay last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. They put on a great show.

Sure, I just don't understand how they categorize these bands. I like the older Coldplay stuff. But I think they have pretty much become a pop band (which is not a shame). It's weird to see Coldplay and 21 Pilots in the same list as Metallica or AC/DC. But I guess it just makes no sense to categorize musicians since the boundaries between genres are so fuzzy

Yeah and the category of "rock" really is broad, encompassing everything from punk to metal to alternative to folk rock, pop rock, pop punk, etc. I think Coldplay is definitely more rock (or pop rock) than pure pop which to me is 100% synthesized and barely listenable. They use actual guitars.

Well, I think it's accurate to say they gradually went from indie to pop. I actually quite like some of Coldplay (mostly their early albums/songs tbh), but I don't think rock is at all accurate, especially not for their recent stuff, even though their music might stem more from real instruments than other bands / artists these days. Remember though, ABBA were pop and they played their instruments, they had synthesizers sure, but a real drum kit, guitars, bass etc.

Well, the only hope I have, which I'm clinging on to quite desperately, is that (at least since 1994) we've pretty much always got something:

1994: ''Live Tracks'' (Live EP)

1996: ''Bowling Bowling Bowling Parking Parking'' (Live EP)

1997: ''Foot in Mouth'' (Live EP)

2001: ''Tune In, Tokyo...'' (Live EP)

2005: ''Bullet in A Bible'' (Live Album and DVD)

2009: ''Last Night on Earth: Live in Tokyo'' (Live EP)

2011: ''Awesome As Fuck'' (Live Album and DVD)

2013: ''Cuatro'' (Documentary, had some live footage from 2011/2012 in it)

So, for every proper album and consecutive tour, we got something. I think they'd be absolutely mad to not to give us anything, especially in this day and age where they could easily put something together using footage from go-pro's and from the camera crew at festivals etc. So, yeah...

i just can't bring myself to understand why they wouldn't though?? like we had semi regular footage from the beginning of the club tour up until about New Year's give or take a few months and then it just stopped short up until a couple weeks to a month ago (pinkpop, bohemian rhapsody, hyde park on absolute radio). and judging from the tour trailers we've gotten recently it seems like Green Day is a band where they seem to pay someone to always have a camera on so their shenanigans are always being filmed, so a proper assumption from all these signs would mean any footage they're taking is going towards something special (god i really hope so)

Yeh and not only movies but aslo pro shot footage from shows and festivals (reading etc..). But yes it would have been absolutely MAD if they don't give us anything, but i have lost all faith in the promo team (if there is a team) so i won't be surprised if we don't get a movie or anything like that. And you forgot to mention that we also got heart like a hand grenade.

BUT PLEASE - IF they will make a concert movie for example... please don't do it like their previous concert movies... REMOVE THOSE HORRIBLE FILTERS, that black and white shit... looks FCKN AWFUL. Why can't they contact Eagle Rock, they produce sick concert movies. Just watch Rolling Stones - Live Havana Moon. And you'll understand what i mean.

Oh yeah that show is awesome. I'd kill to get a live DVD of Green Day in that quality. But right now, I'm THAT desperate that I would probably kill to get any pro-shot live footage at all. :P

Wow, that sucks. I didn't notice it had been deleted until you pointed it out, but I'm sure the video had over 10M views.

Please reinstate the video GD

This link http://kworb.net/youtube/artist/greenday.html shows the video with 13.4 million views.

The video isn't actually deleted, it's just unlisted for some reason.

I have no idea why

Forever Now is the first song that will have a music video filmed for it of this era that didn't have a lyric video beforehand, so if it performs well and gets promoted well (which it should, its a Sam Bayer video and he did most AI videos and a couple MCR Black Parade videos) i'd expect it to do better than most of the videos on their youtube of this era, except for maybe the Bang Bang lyric video because that's the song that caught the attention of a decent amount of people even outside of the fanbase.

that's odd maybe they wanted to draw more attention to the music video... unlisting it so the music video is the first choice when you search the song on youtube

It's audio only, no video, that's why it's a live EP.

Lol I despair of the promo team. I am excited at the prospect of a music video that hasn't had a lyric video though. It might do well. Videos that aren't expected tend to do better - hence why the official music videos are overall less than the lyric videos (especially since the lyric videos are good enough to be music videos).

The Bang Bang lyric video is still my favourite Green Day video output of this era tbh.

I think a live video would have done a bit better than some of the official music and lyric videos

Yeah, tbh I don't know why they put out a Bohemian Rhapsody video when BOBD is equally as powerful - even moreso because the crowd launches into it before Billie even starts singing the first line. And hearing everyone sing the chorus while Billie just sits and listens always gives me chills.

I'm also thinking of other live moments they could upload - like the mic toss to a fan during Are We The Waiting, Billie giving away a guitar, or even Jason's saxophone solo. Just something to show off what cool things happen at the shows.

Yeah excatcly these are all such great moments that they could have uploaded but the promo team is just so horrible so i don't think any of it will happen :(
