In your opinion, is now too early to see it in the Hot 100? You can see which stations recently played still breathing here http://onlineradiobox.com/track/504549935830232551/ they dont play it that much outside of US and Germany. But it's still gaining airplay which is good 😄

It's literally designed to be a Top 40 song. If it was gonna be a Hot 100 song, would it not have done so already? Is it too late for it to get into the Hot 100? Apparently Oh Love charted at No. 97 on September 1, a month and a half after it was released as a single on July 16. SB was released as a single on November 12, so it's been a month and 9 days since then. I guess it still has some time although it hasn't even charted on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart yet

MikeDirntConfused
Oh Love had mass appeal since it was a love song, and had rock elements. While SB may also have a broad, accessible message, the music itself just seems like a Daughtry rip-off. The song doesn't even sound like GD, but rather some generic pop rock band- it doesn't feel "unique" at all.
DookieLukie
I heard Still Breathing on rock radio finally and it sounded better for some reason. I know radio stations compress tracks and add bass, and with that extra "oomph" it felt faster and stronger. Still don't particularly care for the song. It doesn't reduce me to tears like 99% of people here. Lyrics just feel generic and so does the melody.

I wouldn't insult Blvd. This is a paint by numbers pop song with heavy drums and a bit of guitar thrown in. Imo the worst thing they've ever, ever done. They clearly thought it would be a cheap and easy radio hit and had no problems with the potential of alienating fans who actually like punk or rock 4 hours ago, End Of The World said: So this means it's not even in the top 125! I heard that for a long time on the alternative station before it crossed over to Top 40, and Green Day was not a Top 40 band prior to that. Also, 7 weeks is a very short time on alternative radio. If you look at all of the other top 10 on that chart, they've been out literally for months. With JB being at #4 already at just 7 weeks, I think it will hit #1 pretty quickly on alternative and maybe rock charts. Once it's played to death on those charts, I'm hoping since it's so accessible it will then cross over.

MikeDirntConfused
BoBD and WMUWSE were both poppy, but they had substance. SB just sounds like a song that is formulated to be a radio hit, there's no meat or purpose. Ironically, the song isn't a hit.
