The most they've sold in a week was 267k I think, for American Idiot. So I doubt it'll be that much. Uno sold 139,000 in the first week. Hopefully this does better

Actually the 267k was for 21stcb. American Idiot sold less on the first week.

He is the King of All Media.  His fanbase is enormous.  He is the person that made Sirius radio what it is today.  He left regular radio, took his fanbase with him and that is how Sirius vastly increased their subscribers.

I guess he is not popular in other countries, but he is huge, huge, huge, huge, huge and I mean huge in the US

FYI, I am a fan as well.

I've already said this, but he is one of the best interviewers ever.  He can get a great interview out of almost everyone.

Well, I know him from America's Got Talent 😄 I'm looking forward to it!

Hopefully the album can debut at #1.

Anyone know if preorders count as first week sale?

They do

Revolution Radio is #1 album on iTunes in Australia and New Zealand, #2 in Japan and the Philippines, #4 in Russia. It will also be available in Europe in a few minutes!

I was worried new, horrendous One Republic sold more than Green Day, but at the moment Revolution Radio is ahead almost everywhere .

Still Breathing is miles ahead in iTunes UK sales compared to any other song on the album, including Bang Bang. Not surprising, but it's good to see.

This album has already charted better than 21stcb ever did in Finland. Is this real life?

I just saw that Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga are the next two musical guests on SNL.  So unless they are going to perform later in the year I don't see them on the show anytime soon.  Not complaining in the slightest with all of the other promotion this week and next.

So how much impact does iTunes sales have Billboard charting positions?

their spotify is going nuts.

8.100.000 monthly listeners which is insane. they had like 4.000.000 before Bang Bang came out!

they are the second biggest real rock band out there after the chillis right now.

Bang Bang has 8.500.000 plays which is awesome

It greatly affects the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.  That chart counts sales data and streaming data, so the itunes sales would be a part of that.

All the promotion. Literally feels like Christmas right now. Green Day is doing a mask giveaway at select record shops across the country and I'm going to possibly get a mask now with the album, a new lyric video, just saw them last night on Jimmy Fallon, I have an hour long radio interview to record, Howard Stern just happened, top of the charts on iTunes, EVERY ALBUM SINCE DOOKIE ON HDTRACKS and I'm seeing them all over my Facebook and iTunes/Spotify and whatnot with their album.

im just surprised they kept so quiet about everything until last minute. They should have really hyped up to the released instead of after the release

Feels so good to see them actually out promoting the record. It seems like it's really making a difference. It also helps that the music is killer.

RevRad is predicted to sell 74k-79k units in the US in the first week

Well it says "74-79,000 pure US copies", by pure copies, does it mean excluding digital copies?

Also, if it's on track to be a #1 album, that must mean it's doing better than Sum 41's new album which was released on the same day
