Love:

1. Bang Bang

2. Revolution Radio

3. Outlaws

4. Still Breathing

5. Too Dumb to Die

6. Troubled Times

7. Forever Now

8. Ordinary World

Like:

1. Say Goodbye

2. Bouncing Off the Walls

3. Youngblood

Dislike:

1. Somewhere Now

Overall thoughts:

1. The musical arrangements on this album, especially on Troubled Times, are some of their most original.

2. The overall atmosphere of the album perfectly captures the world we are currently living in.

3. Still Breathing is the greatest song of the album and one of the best songs of their entire careers.

4. This album rocks, blew all of my expectations, and I can't wait to pick it up.

5. There better be another North American leg of the tour.

For me, this album feels like a logical evolution from the rock operas and the trilogy.

They created something very especial.

I don't find mixed opinions exciting, it makes me extremely nervous.

First impression:
I can already tell that it's going to be one of the albums people hate, hahaha. If people moan about Warning, 21st Century Breakdown, Uno, Dos and Tre they'll DEFINITELY moan about this one, haha.
Some really strong songs on there, going to listen the shit out of it before giving a proper verdict, but it's definitely different, Green Day are always trying new things and this new album is no exception.

I feel like i should remind you guys that every song on this album doesn't need to be amazing for this to be a great record. If looks like some people on here are like oh no only 7 of the songs are really good this record is only average. Im hearing a lot of positives about somewhere now, say goodbye and ordinary world which is making me excited.

Well if I compare it to Uno I am dissapointed. It's just not an album that I would play from start to finish, it has way too many skipable tracks. Uno for comparison was perfect from start to finish. I am bothered by the production. The songs are way too loud and you can't really hear the vocals that well. The transitions are also a bit amateurish. To me it sounds like they tried to hard. Way too many effects and all.

I guess it kinda sucks that the best songs are probably Bang Bang and Still Breathing but they were the best single options and there are many beauties in there (Outlaws, Youngblood, Forever Now) so I'm not complaining.

For real, this album is fucking awesome. It takes a little from 90's and 00's Green Day and gives it a fresh modern feel.

Just finished the whole album, don't think we could've got anything better than that :D (other than something of American Idiot's magnitude). For me this is the best post AI release

The mixed reception is hyping me up. Some of their best work is divisive. From what I'm reading, I feel like I'm going to love this.

Bang Bang - St. Jimmy

Revolution Radio - Murder City

Say Goodbye - Holiday

Outlaws - WMUWSE + Wild Ones

Bouncing Off The Wall - Horseshoes and Handgrenades

Still Breathing - ?

Youngblood - Know Your Enemy

Too Dumb to Die - ?

Troubled Time - ?

Forever Now - JOS or Homecoming or Dirty Rotten Bastards

Ordinary World - Amy

Agree? I mean just first impression.

i'm kind of surprised by the complaints. it's definitely not what i was expecting but it's pure green day, if 21st century breakdown and warning had a baby the result would be rev rad.

People moan about everything, honestly. It's never gonna please everyone.

I'm encouraged by the comparisons to 21CB, considering it's probably my favourite album. :D

Surprised by the mixed reception. I love it! Very different than what I was expecting, but it's their best work since American Idiot by far! So good I can actually forgive them for the trilogy!

Definitely hearing the Warning vibes like lots of people have said, it's a very unique album. Say Goodbye is very good on a second listen.

Spoiler

POST 1000 WOOOOOOHOOOO.

Loving RevRad so far.

Uno was much more evidently edited (?) the vocal filters were very prominent, I wouldn't say there's anything like that on RR

YES.

I need to listen it at least 3 more times to give a serious, complete review, but this record is a fucking Green Day's MANIFESTO.
