I'm just so ready for an in-depth Rolling Stone article/interview about this album.

In-depth articles on bands and their albums' recording processes are one of my favorite things.

aha, I'm just 17 you know :)

Fans come in all ages.  We've got the guys and gals that liked Green Day before they were well known, people like me who bought Nimrod after hearing Good Riddance, and every other possible kind of fan.   I wonder who our oldest member on here is.......(I'm 30).

Back on topic:   Everyone is going nuts (both good and bad) about Revolution Radio.  It could simply be the name of one of the songs and the album name has yet to be revealed.   Or maybe it's the working title and is subject to change before the release.

I kinda like how they used the "#revrad" thing from the very beginning so that we got familiar with the abbreviation( if misspelled, IPhone autocorrect) and when the album will be out all of the fans will just talk about RevRad, you know?

:dance::cool:

Revolution Radio is one of those titles that is super corny if the album doesn't come out strong. Also one of those titles that you can see being the perfect frame for an explosive pop punk assault on a chaotic political environment in the United States. Titles are like coaches, there are good ones, bad ones, but at the end of the day, who plays? Good songs will make the title seem all-the-better.

Listened to UNO today and realized how high-pitched and weak the vocals were. I hope Billie brings back that AI singing style in a lower octave and forgoes vocal perfection for passionate and energetic singing.

I really wish the trilogy tour wasn't called the 99 Revolutions tour because The Revolution Tour for this album would be a dope tour name

I like that name, actually. People could use the hashtag to talk about the shows, etc.

Second this. Was not a fan of the Trilogy vocals in general.

People will find a way to talk about the tour without a shitty shorthand hashtag

Yeah but hashtags are fun. Get with the program grandpa :toocool:

I don't want to get my hopes up by listening to the review so far. I remember someone saying that the trilogy would sound like Dookie, and look how that turned out.

I like that some people are saying about radio snippets between songs being a cool idea. Just to expand on that a little, what if he album had a 30-45 second intro song (call it "sign of the times" for arguments sake. Which is someone flipping through radio stations. All they hear is a line on each channel about one issue tackled in the album... ie gun control, trump, media bias... Etc... Then the last station is just static. The person frantically changes the stations only to be greeted with static each time, until..... TWANG!!!! The opening chord of a song (say revrad or bang bang) takes over segueing into the first proper song on the album

Oh snap, that sounds like a fantastic idea. Although I don't think they would do that because they did something very similar in the beginning of East Jesus Nowhere.

Still awesome though.

I would really love to see this record blow up...
400k sales in the first week would be pretty awesome!

Not happening. I'd be surprised if they made 200k.

That is how they start the American Idiot play.  So, it hasn't been done on an album, but has been done in something GD related.

I've been a true fan since I was 15...I'm turning 36 this year, I am married, have 3 kids and work as an RN. Green Day have played a huge part in my life, and I guess they always will :-)

There's a review of Bang Bang (on the Bang Bang thread) that says that the song length is 3.25. Could this mean that the 'leaked' tracklist is indeed real?
