Harry Potter.
I won't listen until release, but its interesting to hear everyone's thoughts. So I gather it really is more chill than expected? If so, that's fine, but is it any good?
Harry Potter.
It's crazy how early this leak occured. This practically never happens in this day and age.
Johnny Higher
After one listening : Revolution Radio doesn't have the genius of Americian Idiot, doesn't have that little miracle like Dookie. But it's way better of the Trilogy. Some of the tracks are really great, other tracks are just nice, but it's a really good and solid album that give a good definition of what Green Day is today. A band that's able to make great music with roots that taking place from the The Beatles to The Ramones, from the pop to the punk. I'm really excited about it and I can't wait to see how this gonna grow on me which tracks gonna go up and catch me for years. Also, I can't wait to read the lyrics while listening to have a better overview of the "story" of the record.

It's just a little different. I feel like Still Breathing has no place on this album.
Stefano Bras
First half of the album is really different from what anyone would expect, very chill at times but very good. Biggest surprise was Somewhere Now, I expected a powerful opener but it's very chill and dreamy, not a bad thing at all!!

I'm just saying it's very hypocrital, that's all! I don't see how it's hypocritical? The rule for the forum is to not share the link or ask for links. xLumian
Pretty disappointed honestly. I will start with what I enjoyed: - Ordinary World: Beautiful song - Outlaws: One of my favorites on the record, chorus reminds of Wild One - Still Breathing - Bang Bang - Revolution Radio The rest: - A bunch of the other songs just didn't have a good melody and were not catchy. Certain parts of Forever Now gave me a serious headache from the chaotic chord progressions. - The recording quality is pretty meh, I'd rather take any Warning and onward album quality. - I wish the vocals were a bit more clear, turn down the guitars just a tad. Lacky
1. Somewhere Now: 21stCBD vibes, intriguing and really good. 2. Bang Bang: better to be listened track after track, even if it was alreay soooo good 3. Revolution Radio : I like this song, it's like a motto "We are Revolution Radio" 4. Say Goodbye: So catchy and powerful. One of the best songs here. 5. Outlaws: sounds like some Beatles, and the chorus is melancholic so I love it. 6. Bouncing off the Wall : Pure Green Day style. 7. Still Breathing: I love BJ's voice and the meaning of the song. 8. Young Blood: If you like classic GD, you can't dislike this one. 9. Too Dumb to Die: Fast and funny, pop punk has not been destroyed 10. Troubled Times: The drums here are catchy and it has a really dark soul, not bad. 11. Forever Now: for me the best song of the record. I WANT TO HEAR TO THIS LIVE! 12. Ordinary World: This is what I love. Billie Joe's voice without effects and distortions and an acoustic guitar. Perfect conclusion. I give a good 7 at the first listen. It's not that powerful, but it's not bad. The lyrics are perfect for this era, and they had fun while they were recording, it's clear. It's a spontaneous record and it's honest. It's a good begin to this new Green Day era and it could also sounds better live. Now I just have to play it in my car, that's my fav way to listen to a record.

DecanoLP
What a letdown to be honest. I expected something completely different after listening to the first 3 songs. This album doesn't sound like these songs at all. The rest of the album is kinda slow, has weird effects and just isn't "straight-forward". Too Tumb To Die might be an exception though. All in all, it's not terrible since the melodies are okay most of the time. Still... It's not the album I would play if I wanted to hear some Green Day now. Really disappointed. Brutalitops
One thing I'll say. The mixing of the guitars is horrible. It's like they heard the trilogy criticism and they've gone too far in the opposite direction. It's literally too loud.

Its not like the triple album...(i really hate saying trilogy). However it does have elements of warning, American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown and the aggression of dookie, insomniac or nimrod take your pick on that one. That sounds like perfection to me. Some songs are okay, but most of them have terrible mixing of the guitars. Complete opposite extreme of the trilogy.

Joe K
Okay there is a lot to chew but: Somewhere now=fucking awesome! top notch! Say Goodbye=very interesting, I like it! Outlaws=It's okay, don't like the lyrics too much and it sounds a lot like radiohead's the creep. Bouncing of the wall=It's good, the riff at the beginning kicks ass! Youngblood=not too fond of this one, maybe it will grow on me but ykno. Too Dumb To Die=It's ok, nothing special. Troubled Times=It's fucking great! Great Instruments, great lyrics, great dark mood, great everything! Forever Now=Just the best song on the record. Ordinary World=A sweet way to end the record! Overall 3.5/5 / Good + atm! Great songs but the flow of the record is questionable like suspected before the release. I'd say I'm happy about this though!
