So is anyone going to hold out until it's released (like "team B" with 21st CB)? I hate the thought of not having the excitement of going to buy the CD and bringing it home for a first listen, purchasing a CD containing songs I already own will feel pointless. But if everyone else has been listening for a whole two weeks.....I don't know what to do :P

Not sure why everyone's surprised by this leak. We're less than 2 weeks away from release day and starting back with 21CB, the official leaks came out a week before. Then they did the same with each Trilogy album

People leak albums because they are impatient and irresponsible and untrustworthy. I can't really believe this happening right now.

Not always. Sometimes the bands/singers/record label are the ones who leak them as a marketing strategy. Believe me! :D (not saying that this is the case)

I'm trying, but already wavering, LOL! I might have to stay out of this thread...but at the same time I want to know people's opinions

It's like having a beautiful girl in front of me, completely nude.
Fuck, I'll listen to it.
(But life's still so unfair)

I LOVE: youngblood and bouncing off the wal.
Didn't like much: outlaws, too dumb to die and troubled time.

What's wrong with them? Are they just bland?

Here we go.

I won't have this feeling of excitement and anticipation about new Green Day music again for a few years.

Outlaws and Troubled Times are definitely my favorite ones. New and fresh sound like they have never done.

The album could have ended with Forever Now though... and oh god how I missed their loud guitars

The songs so far are way more chill than I expected. Give me a second while I light up a joint.

Chill? Really? Wow, is it just me or is the band really not that accurate at describing their own albums? Lol

And I'm not saying that as if its a bad thing.

I'm sure I'll give in because I have no self control , it's just a shame buying the CD will be a worthless experience. I would rather be forced to wait.

I don't know what's bland! haha
I'm not sure... there's nothing wrong with them, I don't like the long intro of troubled times and I don't think Outlaws is catchy. It wasn't what I expected when I first saw its name.

I wish we had been forced to wait. I know listening to it is nothing but my own fault, but I'd prefer if it just didn't leak :P

Outlaws is fantastic. The chorus gives me a Wild One kind of vibe.

Guess it was just me then! haha I'm gonna give it another listen.

A leak? Well this is when I stay away GDC. I feel like I will be too tempted to listen to it if I stay on. Goodbye everybody.

My impression on new songs after first listen:

Somwhere Now: meh, nothing catchy about the song, weak vocals
Say Goodbye: i don't like that vocal filter cause I can't hear shit. The melody is ok but it's just viva la gloria rip off, the song is nothing special. The instrumentals are also a bit weird.
Outlaws: They said this song should be like Christie Road but I don't really hear it. The song gets boring really quick.
Bouncing Off The Walls: Now this is a fun song. Great tune and melody. Also really catchy verse. It sounds like a Trilogy song to me.
Youngblood: This one starts great as well but it gets a bit boring.
Too Dumb To Die: Rolling Stone got this wrong. This sounds like Warning, Fashion Victim verse. Great song.
Troubled Times: I mean the instrumentals are nice and all but the lyrics are a bit sloppy and the verses are boring. Chorus is nice and loud. Bridge and the solo is awesome too.
Forever Now: Sounds fun and fast. Nothing really new though. A bit too much of everything if you ask me, gets boring after like 4 minutes.
Ordinary World: The best song! It's also produced so much better than other songs. A perfect balance between vocals and instrumentals. I love the lyrics. Good ending song.

The vocals on most songs are really weak and the production is a bit sloppy. I have to say that I'm a bit dissapointed. I thought Uno was just perfect when it was released, with Revolution Radio I would say that half of the album is decent with 4 great songs and the other half is trash. As this moment this album would go on my bottom 3 albums just before AI and 21CB. Maybe the album will grow on me but the first impression is not really that great. :(

Somewhere Now it's so intriguing. Not the usual GD song, really interesting. Let's go with Bang Bang now 🤘

somewhere now is indeed weird.
