Something feels off about this album release. Something is missing.

Lack of promotion?

I just saw that the bonus track for the Japanese release of the album will be...*drum roll*..."Letterbomb (Live)"...yay..the same as the b-side for the 'Bang Bang' single.

And the same bonus track as on the deluxe version of Awesome As Fuck. They are all from the same 2010 Cali show.

Well, it has been pretty low-key so far. We get bursts of promo every other week, with nothing in between. They'll ramp it back up when they start playing shows next week. I bet they'll play a few talk shows and SNL to get some hype.

As I recall, 21CB had a fairly quiet release, too.

Maybe weeks before release, because I remember at the time of release it was on TV, on the streets, on the radio, everywhere.

All of the track durations have been revealed on iTunes.

Somewhere Now: 4:08

Bang Bang: 3:25

Revolution Radio: 3:00

Say Goodbye: 3:39

Outlaws: 5:02

Bouncing Off The Wall: 2:40

Still Breathing: 3:44

Youngblood: 2:32

Too Dumb To Die: 3:23

Troubled Times: 3:04

Forever Now: 6:52

Ordinary World: 3:00

Shocker! The leaked tracklist from ages ago was right! I did not expect that even though the track durations were right for Bang Bang, Revolution Radio and Still Breathing!

I'm curious where everyone thinks this album will rank among their others.   Anyone think this will be their favorite album or least favorite?  I know it hasn't came out yet but in terms of what you think.

Personally, I think this will be my 4th favorite, behind Idiot, Warning and Nimrod.  If it takes one of those top three spots I'd absolutely freak out but right now I'm being reasonable.  Imagine if after 30 years they dropped the best album of their career!

This is my ranking of their albums so far:

1.American Idiot

2.Warning

3.Nimrod

4.Dookie

5.Tre

6.Uno

7.Dos

8.21st Century Breakdown

9.Insomniac

10.1039 Smoothed

11.Kerplunk

My ranking would probably be like this

21st Century Breakdown
Warning/American Idiot/Dookie
Uno/Tré/Insomniac
Nimrod/Shenanigans/Dos
Kerplunk
1,039/SOSH

(People are probably going to hate on me for having Nimrod that far down on my list and Uno/Dos/Tré not at the bottom but whatever)

Anyway, I'd be really happy if this album shared the 2nd place spot and with the songs we've heard so far, it might

Judging by the tracks released thus far I'll like it more than 1039 and the trilogy, but less than everything else.

So after getting one-third of the album including Ordinary World I think we are in for a good variety of sound in this album. Bang Bang is like Dookie + 21stCB, RevRad - Kerplunk! + Tre! and Still Breathing - Warning: + American Idiot. This may not be accurate but somewhat in a similar vibe and I loved all the songs by far. I need more 'hardcore' and faster songs but the RS review seem like Bang Bang is the only track, anyway I'm still hopeful with Somewhere Now, Bouncing Off The Wall and Too Dumb To Die for the same and Outlaws and Forever Now sounds epic.

For those of you who have pre-ordered the album, I have a question. Did you guys get the online download of the RevRad single? I got Bang Bang instantly and the link to  Still Breathing came to my e-mail today, but I never got anything about RevRad.

Email them. I got all 3 right on time when they were suppose to come out. Seems like they been lazy with releasing the songs for EVERYONE and handing out the idiot Nation sign up code. Hope you get it soon.

I didn't get RevRad either and SFS had to email them, maybe it's a UK thing.

What is the plan with Revolution Radio and Still Breathing?  Are these going to be official singles or are they just promotional singles?  Maybe Green Day will go nuts this time around and do 6 or more singles!   I want at least 4.   At the most, every track.

AND ANOTHER THING!

Think we'll get any b-sides, bonus tracks, secret songs or anything like that?   Live cuts piss me off.  Unless it's "No One Knows (Live from Tre Cool's bathroom)" they can keep it.   lol.

How about one of those funky instrumentals from the Trilogy?

How about Dreamcatcher, fleshed out?

How about a studio cut of Chocolate Rain?

How about a new song by the Network?

AND ONE MORE THING!

Mike or Tre vocals this time around?

At first I only got Still Breathing, so after it came out I emailed them and a few hours later I got an apology and both links to Bang Bang and RevRad

and isn't it better? unless they go broke after album release let's just enjoy it and not care about high sales or charts . they already had it.

That moment when The Devil's Kind could be better than any of the album tracks.

Uhm, no, wrong math. The three tracks we had so far are way better than Devil's kind :P

I got Bang Bang and eventually got Still Breathing but not RevRad. I emailed them about it but they didn't respond.

Gotta commend whoever's doing the lyric videos. They did a great job with all three.

Actually, from what I could see it's from three different people, it's awesome how they kept kinda the same look through all 3
