Nah, journalist/reviewers don't get an actual copy of the record so it's very unlikely that we could get a leak at "any given moment now".

We should expect it when the CD's get on the record stores (a week before).

if a reviewer is lowdown they could do a web rip of the album stream the 13 track edition of Kurt Cobain Montage Of Heck was leaked that way of course it was not good quality

Usually they get to hear albums by hearing it from someone from the band or label's phone or usb.. so... they don't get to keep the files.

the album could leak any moment now since some people in the world got to hear it etc (journalists etc)

Journalists who get to hear it have a "watermarked" copy that identifies them as the leaker if they put it out there.

It'll likely leak from a record store getting it early and someone doing the dirty deed of sharing it. If the band doesn't decide to stream it early, I bet it'll come a few days before the 7th.

Reviewers in the U.S. here will get a watermarked cd (although that's been seeing decline in) I know Warner Universal and BMG they send out a link to where reviewers are allowed to stream a one time feed and for lesser known reviewers and such they do do private listening parties at a venue etc

Yeah, that's the other option. watermarked files but the point is that the album is not going to get leaked before September 30, there's no way.

Patience, it's coming out soon at record store near you.  I personally don't want it leaked cuz I have no self control and will listen to it.  So I hope I enjoy an event of going to the local Record Store...buying a 2 beautiful CD's.  Nofx and Green Day.  Drive around for a long time.  Run out of gas somewhere nowhere and calling triple A cuz I can.  Get some free gas that they provide to get to your next gas station.  But first I'll find a Taco Bell and eat...take a break from the cum coming out of my ears and wipe that up.  Eat unhealthy food and continue on my journey to the gas station where i may or may not have to ask for the restroom key...ughh.  After that, wherever the albums took me...  might be Virginia, N.y., who knows.... I'll drive home.

I was reading a thread on Reddit about Billie Joe wanting to kill the term Pop Punk with Revolution Radio album. Why do people still make an extremely big deal about something being labelled Pop? I fail to see what makes it so uncool especially when people love green Day's Pop punk stuff? Revolution Radio (song)  has a pop punk feel and so what? I feel like rock fans will never evolve musically if they get so wrapped up in this bubble of everything HAS to sound a certain way or it's automatically shit. I hope we get more Pop Punk on this album

pop punk as a term is just an oxymoron. it doesn't have to do with the music, but with the meaning behind words such as pop and punk.

I may be wrong, but as far as I remember for 21st Century Breakdown they did a free streaming on their website a few days before the official release. Maybe they'll do the same thing this time.

I think it's gorgeous. I have no idea what to expect from this song other than the general theme, so I loved getting this little tidbit.

I like it. I didn't get it the first time I read it (and obviously hearing it in context might make more of a difference) but it sounds like a play on the phrase 'took one step forward and two steps back'. Or, in the process of avoiding a problem you've made it worse. But judging by the title it's all okay in the end. :)

Not for me lol, leaks are my only option but gotta appreciate that lyrical sweetness you just provided.

I thought it was quite obvious he was just referring to him avoiding danger almost by chance, luckily.

Hmm, I think I interpreted it differently. I assumed when he said 'walked across a landmine' that it exploded (the pessimist in me I guess  ) so I took it to mean he encountered the landmine in the process of dodging the bullet. Now I realise it's the less obvious interpretation :tired:

I admit I'm sometimes a bit slow when it comes to analysing poetry, but I don't see what you mean. He says he dodged the bullet (avoided one danger) only to step on a landmine (got himself into even more trouble in the process). I just don't get how could it mean anything else. Could you please explain?

^ Well, it says he walked across a land mine, meaning it didn't blow up (unless that's detailed in the line after). So in both instances, he narrowly avoided injury/death by sheer luck.

I still think 'walked across a land mine' means the land mine exploded.  It makes more artistic sense, at least to me, for him to be saying 'I dodged something quite bad only to end up in a worse place' rather than 'I dodged something quite bad then also dodged something else'.  I don't see why he'd be singing about it if nothing happened, there's much more reason to sing about it if you have that irony of doing something and it actually making things worse.  I see it as a similar situation to when you're driving and you swerve to avoid a cat, only to collide head-on with a motorbike.

I still think that too, I just thought I was the only one who interpreted it that way. Validation is sweet.

Well at first I would also believe it did "explode" but I think he's just listing stuff he avoided: I dodged a bullet AND I walked across a landmine; so I don't think they're related like he dodged the bullet and then walked across the landmine, I think he just came up with two metaphors about (as @dolce_amore93 said earlier) avoiding death/injury by mere luck like he barely avoided those things (I can't stop picturing these old cartoons with the characters avoiding dangerous stuff like falling pianos haha).

I don't think it doesn't make sense if "nothing happened" or if the landmine didn't explode (@Second favourite son), probably the purpose of that line is that he barely avoided death (like what he said on Rolling Stone; "Sometimes I didn't even knew if I was going to wake up the next morning" 'cause he was mixing alcohol and pills) so he's just grateful and proud about being alive, writing with a clear-head about how he's "still breathing" even after all he went through.

But since he said the song is not necessarily about him but about anyone feeling desperate, I think is just a song about getting better day by day.
