" 'I put the riot in patriot' from their title track"

"Uno, Dos and Tré, their 2014 trilogy of albums"

Good one, RockSound.

Btw... "OUTLAWS MULTI PART PUNK OPUS" WHAT

I have to imagine they got Outlaws and Forever Now mixed up, because it would be odd for the almost 7 minute long song to not be multipart while the significantly shorter track is lol

Really hoping that the second half of the record isn't noticeably worse than the first half, given that Bouncing Off The Walls, Too Dumb To Die, Troubled Times and Forever Now have all been pretty much sidestepped in terms of track descriptions.

Makes it almost seem like that they aren't particularly noteworthy, and that's a pretty significant chunk of the record right there.

Also, that reference to Troubled Times above the pie chart makes me feel like the hook of that song is going to essentially be the bridge of 99 Revolutions repeated over and over again. I REALLY hope that's not the case, because that sounds like the laziest shit in the world lol

Too Dumb To Die and Troubled Times have been talked about a lot on interviews, don't know what you're talking about.

I don't remember Troubled Times ever being referred to, and Too Dumb To Die was only mentioned subject matter wise, rather vaguely (in a similar vein to A Little Boy Named Train, which ended up being pretty forgettable musically).

There were no references to anything particularly distinctive concerning either tracks.

Billie talked about what they're about, Troubled Times being about the terrorist attacks in Paris and Too Dumb To Die being about his father and being a working class kid.

I'd say that's enough info to get you excited and to not spoil the entire thing.

This is crazy hahah.

It's been discussed but I've been trying to find if perhaps ALL the song titles have appeared in Green Day songs before. Haven't found all of them yet but they could be there.

BANG BANG - in Holiday.

Say Goodbye - in Stay the Night

Outlaws - in Holiday

Too Dumb to Die - in Sex, Drugs and Violence

Troubled Times - in Hitchin a Ride

Ordinary World - in Extraordinary World

Okay, so that might be it.

I still want to know what songs Billie plays bow guitar on.

They talked about it ONCE and then it was dropped. This is a significant thing. I want the thing.

Just wait until troubled times ends up being a re-written "devil's kind"

Lol you can sing "we live in troubled times" perfectly to the tune of this song ("we are the devil's kind)

Don't know what drugs some of you are taking but Ordinary World isn't that special.

Isn't that special?  Have you heard it already produced or on the album yet?   Silly prediction in my opinion.  You have heard a snippet on youtube.  I like to predict the lottery numbers but I'm usually wrong.  I use the term 'usually' because I am a psychic.  You, sir, don't know what Ordinary World will sound like until the album is released.  After you listen to the whole album you will think 'OH EM JEE' , TreSexy101 was right.  Ordinary World is special.

I'm on Opinions, you should try some. It's a really nice song and a great closer.

Whatever you're on, I want the opposite.

Of course, the album version might be different and it might be that special, but so far, I agree with you. I don't think it's that great.

kerrang gave 4/5 of all trilogy albuns. i really want to believe them...

To be fair most of us were giving it the same. New album hype compared to hindsight and all that...but RR seems different. The boys are in a good place for starters. And there seems to be a focus this time round.

The album art reminds me of this Green Day CD, I will look it up in my house later on. Maybe the first time they used a radio?

Which album is that?

I think you may be onto something... The article says Billie repeats the line 11 times and "We are the devil's kind" is repeated 11 times too, not to mention the phrase "We live in troubled times" fits right into the line "We are the devil's kind".

Illuminerter confrimd.

Really though, it's quite a strange coincidence.

I think that's actually a bootleg of the b-sides and rarities released after 2002, but I could be wrong.

@BronniIsGod @navouxodonosoras I just found it again, it is a greatest hits album used in europe (only Germany I believe) to promote Green Day to the press before the release of the trilogy. At least that's what I could find out. Haven't opened it yet since some people offered quite a bit of money for it. I had totally forgotten about it untill I saw the cover for revolution radio :D https://www.discogs.com/Green-Day-Green-Day/release/4736329

I included the times he sings "I am the devil's kind" too, which is twice.
