zzzambles
Has anyone else seen this? http://tre-cool-as-a-cucumber.tumblr.com/post/150064361563/tre-cool-swallovvs-you-are-cordially-invited-to So basically the entire Green Day fandom on tumblr is being invited to a listening party of Revolution Radio. Obviously Im definitely gonna join because Im gonna listen to this no matter what, but just thought I'd post it here in case any of you guys have a tumblr or just wanna join in on this in general. I think it's a pretty great idea that someone's put this together as a means to not only help other people listen to the new album, but to talk about it and enjoy it together while listening to it. billiejoephil
I wonder if the lyric book version is a pre-order only thing... I snatched up the 21st CB lyric book on release day at a regular record store, I'm intrigued if this version will be sold regularly.

It was worth it in 2010, when I won early entry to their gig in Helsinki. No idea what it's like these days...

Going off the title I was hoping that they would be going a little more in depth with the album itself, good interview though.

Dakke
The album begins with the Who-ish anthem "Somewhere Now," which finds Armstrong feeling "spiritually broken." "It's just that gloom and trying to rise above it," he says. "That's sort of what the record is about." I think Somewhere Now is making a connection with 21CB here, both spiritually and thematically. I think it'll be kind of a bridge between that 21CB era darkness and the RevRad vibe, whilst also, on a more personal level, serving as a kind of a gateway out of the quagmire that was the post-21CB years. Indeed. It'll either be a leaked version, the official single release or some shaky phone video from the concert, whichever is first

Alan86
I just realised I have to go to a wedding the day Revolution Radio is released. I'll be away from home for 2 days which means I'll have no chance to listen to the album. I am now just hoping that it leaks before the release day. I know the struggle. Don't despair though. There are plenty of great songs awaiting us: the Who-ish Somewhere Now, the political Say Goodbye, the Youngblood love song, the autobiographical Too Dumb To Die, the (probably) very introspective Still Breathing and the (possibly) emotional Troubled Times. We don't know what Outlaws and Bouncing Off the Wall are about and I'm curious to hear Forever Now. Plenty of goodies still unspoiled on release day

They were able to keep BANG BANG under wraps until it was officially released. I guess it's more difficult to keep albums from leaking early because there will be physical copy's of the CD distributed to stores. It only takes one kind person to upload it to the Internet
