What JJ1964 said.

Also, why would he guessed that and, even if he did, why would he just say "Fuck you, I'm from Oakland!" to someone he just met (assuming he just met her since he doesn't actually knows where's she from), what a way of making friends hahah.

I get what they're saying. Like using Adrienne as context; a set up for a song about Oakland because someone said they were from SF. It's just a bit of spec I guess; none  of us know what the song is exactly about apart from the song name, it's about Oakland and it's a love song. *shrug*

There is no reason to be nasty.

Not being nasty. Your "Yeah, sorry" came off as passive aggressive and I didn't care for it. If I misinterpreted that, I apologize.

It wasn't passive aggressive.  I was just disagreeing with you.  If you don't like that maybe you should try asking the question before you are nasty.  It was a simple conversation.

Sometimes I think these people writing articles on Revolution Radio have no idea what they are talking about, and just going by what they've 'heard' rather than actual fact.

Uno, Dos and Tre all have Favorable/Positive reviews (over 60%) on wickopedia based on an average of over 20 reviews each. Uno debuted #1 in 5 countries and top 5-10 in over 20 countries and also was a gold album in 7 countries.  Dos debuted in the top 10 in over 10 countries and Tre in the top 20 in almost 10 countries. They didn't live up to their past album sales, probably largely because of Billie's health and not being able to tour, but these are not critical and commercial 'letdowns/failures'.

Sometimes I wonder how these journalists have jobs when they don't do research and have no idea what they're talking about 🤔

> questions the writer's research skills

> cites "wickopedia" as credible source for research

> disputes undeniable fact: trilogy was a commercial failure

Again, I apologize. I'd just like to move the conversation forward. Can we agree you weren't being passive aggressive and I wasn't being nasty?

My thought was that Billie was being playful and flirtatious in saying "fuck you". I don't think he would be a dick to this girl he was really into, right off the bat. But I really have no clue.

Have they mentioned that Youngblood is a love song outside of the Twitter Q&A? Wondering if they were joking since they weren't serious for most of that. If not I think it'll definitely be more a "love" song for their youth/hometown rather than about a girl, but then it's Green Day so who knows :P

Isn't it in the Rolling Stone article too?

A love song isn't necessarily all hugs and kisses and I love you.  I consider Church on Sunday to be one of the greatest love songs ever written.  Youngblood may be a love song, but not a typical love song.

That's one of my favorite things about the band (especially in their early days). Their best love songs and unrequited love songs aren't straightforward, in your face sap and sadness. When I think of Green Day love songs, I usually don't think of songs like Last Night on Earth or Sweet 16. Songs like Whatsername, Church on Sunday, 80 and Paper Lanterns are great examples. Despite my general dislike of the trilogy, I don't mind Fell For You or Missing You, either.

So we are seriously trying to figure out the possible meaning of a song with only one line, the title and the band telling us on Twitter, where they made a joke out of virtually every answer, that it was a love song?!  :lol::lol:

Right, sometimes a love song can be a big "FUCK YOU (I'm from Oakland)!!

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere yet, iTunes now shows the song duration for Revolution Radio as 3:00. This typically indicates it is set to be released next and probably soon.

Why does that mean it is next to be released?

Runtimes tend to be shown on iTunes days before the songs are released, and Revolution Radio's runtime is the only one that's currently available along with Bang Bang.

This is also the exact runtime that was on the leaked tracklist from a while back, meaning that it was indeed legit and we are indeed getting another long song in the form of Forever Now.

On iTunes Revolution Radio and Bang Bang are the only songs off the album to have the timings next to them. Therefore, people will presume that this is an indication that Revolution Radio may be the next single.

On another thread before Bang Bang was announced, someone posted a set list that everyone presumed was fake but it turned out to be real. Funnily enough that poster said Bang Bang and Revolution Radio would be the first two singles....

So now the question is when will Revolution Radio be released and will it be before or after the Bang Bang music video? My guess is we'll have the song within a week and the music video mid to late September.
