Tre has hashtagged idiot nation on his last 3 posts. If they do something today I wouldn't read anything into it being about idiot nation specifically.

I'm thinking they have a MV in the works/Already done, not sure if Bang Bang, could be a surprise, you never know.
Also Bang Bang is stuck in my head, and i'm really excited for a new song release, maybe next month if we are lucky!

I had a thought today. Billie Joe has stated that many of the songs on Revolution Radio will focus on the chaos and fear in the world. Is it possible that Green Day don't really have much to say on this that hasn't been said before, but are instead attempting to capitalise on the current news headlines since they know that an album with a seemingly political core will gain more exposure?

I read this a little while ago, I wonder if they'll be using the same techniques for promoting this album http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/163/5/

3 singles before release though seems like a little much, especially with a shorter track listing, in my eyes, more unheard songs means more of a reason to check out the album

The promotion for the trilogy was on a whole different level. It wasn't the usual album promotion that they would normally attempt. They wanted to promote the release of 3 albums, which wasn't done many times before if at all. I wouldn't use that for a comparison.

I expect with the shorter tracklisting we'll get 1 more single shortly before the album release and that'll be the title track. Last single: Say Goodbye a couple weeks after.

First I found Ordinary World totally banal. A nice ballad but nothing much. But since two days I listen to this song several times by days and now I love it.

Catching 39/smooth-era band members and then evolving them through dookie, insomniac, etc.

And the BAM mega-evolution RedRav Beej.

Tre would obviously be a shiny in every instance.

Mike would need a ton of coffee instead of raspberries thrown at him.

This hurts my heart :( I tend to think no. I don't want to believe they'd be corporate sell outs in that regard... They've always wrote from the heart, and we've seen plenty of Instagram posts of Billie's political side. I don't think they're necessarily capitalizing on it, rather it's the topics on everyone's mind for the past few years. Shootings every other day, chaos, fear mongering. Can't escape it!

Okay, so I am very late to the party but I hope the booze and drugs are still there. xD

Coming to the topic, Revolution Radio is a perfect title for the album. I don't have words to express how happy I am about this.

The single Bang Bang was so awesome. Its fast, its catchy and the lyrics and wonderful. I mean, fuck, they are back and how? So awesome.

Agreed, it's just something everyone is thinking about these days - which of course will help them. It's a current and an engaging topic (song about gun violence has a massive clickbait potential itself) good for headlines and giving interviews about. Pretty much same thing they did with AI.

So all three singles before November? Nah, that's not how this game works. They've typically tried to ride singles for three months or so before moving on to the next one.

I suspect a second single mid to late October, and then another one February or March of next year.

I feel ashamed to admit this, but up until two days ago, I hadn't realized 'RevRad' stood for Revolution Radio. :P

And I realized it while pondering the song titles, listening to Bang Bang, in the back of my Mom's suspicious looking white van... The best things happen in vans. :eyebrows:
