Or just piano. That'd be beautiful i think. I agree, that would be really beautiful. I'm really intrigued by "Still Breathing", it sounds like it's going to be the "recovery song" many of us were speculating would be on the album. GenXIdiot
Ordinary World and Bang Bang are both great songs but I don't see how you can rank one over the other, they are both so different. But that's the beauty of music, it affects everyone a different way.

Also, I can't wait to hear what they do with Ordinary World. To our ears when my husband and I saw him perform this at the Geezer Premiere, it felt like it was a very new song, almost unfinished even. Usually the structure of his songs are excellent but Ordinary World felt like it needed a Bridge and another chorus or something like that. I wonder if he's going to leave it the way we heard it or if it's more fleshed out. I love the song, though. Really nice melody. I think if the album is as serious as it sounds like it's going to be, Ordinary World is going to be a beautiful ending. Not having seen Geezer, or as we now know it will be called, Ordinary World, I don't know how much of the song it featured in the film but could it be possible he only wrote the minute or so that was needed? At the Geezer performance it certainly doesn't sound like a whole song to me but you never can tell whether it will appear on the album as a short, simple ballad or will it be given a full makeover and sound really different. We know they have taken songs that were one thing and made them something completely different before now. i don't understand how people can be judging this before hearing it - unusual levels of clairvoyance? Don't think it's a demand for a recovery song but an expectation that Billie will have written songs about this experience, it's whether he shares them with us or not that I think the debate really about. DoodleBob
I think the "demand" comes from the hope that the lyrics will be quality and reflective. A lot of people turn to lyrics to decide whether a song is good or bad, so it makes sense to pin that sense of hope to a recovery song.

To me, his best songs have lyrics from the heart, from his own experiences. He is such a great lyricist, that I feel he would be able to express his feelings on a topic as personal as recovery, while making it very meaningful to the listener, as well. He could make it very powerful on so many levels.
madafaka
It's one of those things that reminds us how little we have to discuss at this point. But what song are you most excited to hear, going on title alone? That means no Bang Bang or Ordinary World, possibly not the ones described in Rolling Stones if you've read that Edit: Honestly I don't remember if it was mentioned in the interview, but mine is Somewhere Now

GenXIdiot
Has anyone heard new of when we might be getting tour dates? I'm hoping for a small show or two in NYC, before the tour. What are the possibilities of that happening?

It's an imaginative representation of how the political/war themes of the album interact with the personal themes, summed up in a stylish and memorable symbol. Revolution Radio's in just an overly simple literal representation of the title, there's no nuance to it and it isn't stylish. The equivalent would be for AI's cover to feature a man in an American flag t shirt acting like an idiot. I'm not upset about it, it looks alright and does accurately represent the title. But it just isn't very interesting or creative. Looks more like something that should be on a random page of the album booklet. Re AI, I always took it as an deliberate image from the line in the song She's a Rebel (and she's holding on my heart like a hand grenade). I actually think it's their best album cover, and I don't mind the simplistic nature of the new album cover. I'm sure it will fit in with the theme nicely, and become just as iconic as AI (well almost).
