anyone else not feeling the title at all?

Me. I feel like it's kind of...cheesy... :ermm: Okay, maybe not so much cheesy, but I feel like it sounds like the title to a b-side to 21CB. But what do I know. Nothing. Green Day could put out an album of silence and I would still buy it on vinyl. So.

I really like the title. It might sound kind of stereotypical but it can be pulled off if the music lives up to it. It calls to the Clash fan inside me and I can't resist. Sounds more mature than American Idiot but less dramatic than 21CB.

Revolution Radio could be how Green Day are going to destroy the phrase "pop punk", at least when it comes to describing them.  They've said numerous times that while Punk is what inspired them, they what to be known as a rock band.   BANG BANG could be the first shots fired in a war on "pop punk", with the death blow coming later in the album.   I don't think Green Day will veer off into something that doesn't sound like Green Day, but I think they might go for a harder edge.   And even though we haven't heard the first note yet I believe this album will be amazing.

If Revolution Radio is the actual title, that leaves the songs with some big shoes to fill.  The songs need to not only invoke a revolutionary spirit in their words but in their sound as well.   These songs should be epic.   Perhaps we'll get some longer multi-part songs if they were so-inspired this time around.   I'd like some kind of callback to American Idiot in the lyrics, if not a sequel to one of the songs.

REV RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has a very "take on the world" type vibe to me, similar to American Idiot. I think when they are making songs intending to make a statement they are at their best. Based on the titles, and artwork I think that is the direction they are heading. I couldn't be more excited!

Maybe Revolution Radio only sounds clichéd because it's such a good title.  It sounds wonderfully Ramonesy to me.

ah, October 7th. It'll be a glorious day.

When I hear the name, I feel like it's gonna sound a lot like Uno, which I don't mind. It's probably all because of Nuclear Family though.

When new shirts come out, I'll have to consider replacing my 12 year old American Idiot tshirt.

yeah the name of the album is kind of meh, but I won't judge it by the name.

It also reminds me a bit of the 21st Century Breakdown pirate radio clips, those were rad.

If indeed it drops on October 7th it'll be such a glorious album release day: new Alter Bridge, Green Day, Joyce Manor, Meshuggah, NOFX, and Sum 41 all at the same time. :D

It sounds so clichéd because this is how you name a punk album. :P I doubt we would have guessed 21st Century Breakdown if they gave us an abbreviation. But it sounds cool, looks well on the paper, it's easy to remember, catchy and kind of ornomatopoeic.

I love the title "revolution radio" and I hope this will be a punk rock album... Anyways, Frank Maddocks used the hashtags "punk" and "punkrock" in the instagram photo of the bang bang logo. But I am both worried and excited about it, and I guess I will be nervous until I have heard the entire album

Revolution Radio sounds awesome to me (it carries a great responsibility under such name), and I personally hope that even though it was said that Bang Bang will have some similarities to older GD stuff, the album shoud turn into its own new direction, as much as I love Dookie and Kerplunk, they were products of their time

the only album I have a crush on is Revolution Radio. It's new, it's exciting, I don't know anything about it yet.

I don't understand why people dislike the title Revolution Radio. I'd like to see anyone come up with a better title for a Green Day album. All green day albums have had good names except Uno, Dos, Tré and possibly 39/smooth (Idk if it's bad or not but idk what 39/smooth means. It seems like a random title) and this title is just as good as the rest

I think the title is kickass. But the album does have a lot to live up to with a name like that.

I don't know why we think October 7th will be the release date for the album.

Is there a lot of dislike for it floating around? The worst I've seen is ambivalence.

Deep inside my heart I guess I'd been hoping this next album would have a name like Revolution Radio. It screams fast-pace and epicness to me :runaround:
