These songs are drugs for me. I feel stoned, flying high above the ground, sooooooo high! I´m thrilled and nothing but hap-hap-happy!:runaround::wub:

Yes as well as having multiple accounts on here I also am a journalist for multiple websites/magazines all in the name of hurting the feelings of sheltered, obsessive fans who think that nobody could possibly have an opinion that differs from theirs.

Let me just start with saying that I don't mind reviews being less positive than others. If there are bad things to be found about a record it should be said, as well as good things.

But anyway, your posts tend to always carry some amount of negativity and those reviews you've been sharing with us kind of remind me of your posts. So I was honestly thinking you were sharing your personal reviews with us.

Then you should try reading posts properly before you make assumptions because you even quoted the link I posted to the website the review came from :shy:

Also I've been posting on this site for years and 90% of the time I only post pictures in the instagram thread but the minute I post that I dislike something the band does half the forum turns on me. It's pathetic. My posts don't "carry negativity", they are mostly image posts or in the past week I've made some comments about not liking a few songs (the horror, the horror) but some people on here need to seriously adjust their ability to deal with people who have different opinions to them. I mean just look at the reaction to my posting the first review that literally was in my news feed this morning  Ridiculous.

I think "Outlaws" is the "Brutal Love" of this record. Didn't expect anything special from it, but it's a masterpiece.

Anyone else comparing Too Dumb to Die sound to Nimrod? It really seems to be one of that powerful tracks. I mean Nice Guys Finish Last, Jinx or The Grouch mixed to a kinda Fashion Victim chord progression.

Anyways, I think Revolution Radio it's a pretty mature album compared to the Trilogy. I feel that desire to listen to the full album in the middle of the day. This didn't happen with Uno, Dos or Tre. I didn't expect much but GD this time IMO gave their very best since American Idiot

Outlaws gets better every time I listen to it :)

Same. The incredible thing is that in the bridge, when Tre plays the toms and Billie and Mike make power riffs, it reminds me of Muse.

Apparently Bang Bang is one of the band’s "riskiest and most dangerous singles" on the "safest album Green Day could have produced" negative reviews of good albums are hilarious.

"Green Day may have have twisted the dial a little, but at the end of the day, Revolution Radio sounds like just another Green Day album."

It...IS another Green Day album. Who the fuck writes these

I feel like I'm listening to a different album than some of these reviewers. I'm very confused by the critique that it's "safe." Which songs, seriously, are safe, typical Green Day songs? Bouncing Off the Wall, Youngblood, Too Dumb to Die, and Revolution Radio are the only ones that truly harken back to past albums. Bang Bang is far more aggressive than what they've done in recent years and is a controversial topic, so that's not safe. Even Still Breathing, which is definitely radio friendly, isn't necessarily safe as a Green Day song, because it's a new sound for them. They definitely expanded their horizons with Somewhere Now/Forever Now, Outlaws, Say Goodbye, and Troubled Times. I feel like I'm missing something that these reviewers are hearing.

And then to say, "Meh, this is just an OK, typical Green Day album." Well every time they do a concept album now people go, "Oh geez, Green Day's at it again with their gimmicks" so yeah, this time it's a regular Green Day album.

I usually don't read reviews for books/movies/shows/music I enjoy because I don't like the idea of most likely a non-fan telling people how to feel about a piece of art. I guess I should do the same with this.

I've tried and I've tried and I've tried some more but I'm finding it really difficult to enjoy this album.

I have never been bored listening to Green Day but....

I just don't get some of these songs: they feel uninspired, often plodding without any strong riffs coming through. The lyrics lack substance and can feel really weak at times. The over use of similes and metaphors feels really heavy and awkward.

The only real part I have liked is the bridge on Still Breathing - but the verses in that feel like a boy band song. The tone of the verse guitar is awful.

I love Green Day - I have all of their albums and the BJA signature Junior guitar I love them so much - but I'm just sad that I don't like this new offering.

I know others are liking it and that is amazing - and I'm not knocking anyone enjoying it - I'm more disappointed for myself.

Did anyone rip their CD to iTunes yet? I just did and it says "Forever Now: I. I'm Freaking Out/II. A Better Way To Die/III. Somewhere Now (Reprise)". Just thought that was interesting.

I was just listening to it on my way home and you know know what?  There is piano in that song but not in the credits of the album.

Took a motorcycle ride and listened to the whole album 3 times, feel in love and came home to order the vinyl.
