Yeah you're right, maybe i could have worded that better and I apologize if it came off hostile - Kind of like you saying my opinion made no sense when it does. It's not like I said "blue green eggs ham Sam I am." I brought up a legit view point. But anyway I'm not trying to be an asshole myself, I just have a very foul mouth, apologies.

I definitely don't take Too Dumb To Die as seriously as a song like Let It Be. No way. None of the lyrics lend it to be that serious.

You're right. I know the songs aren't equal in seriousness but I still stand by what I said. A lot of people are acting as if Too Dumb To Die is as silly of a song as Dominated Love Slave or something, and it's not. I just think it's a terribly poor lyric and it drives me bonkers.

No, I mean that was a pretty shitty nonsensical response to what I said. I make perfect sense - if you don't agree that's totally fine, but I still make sense in what I'm saying.

The point I was making is that you were bringing up points that no one else had said.  No one compared the lyrics, no one said they loved the beatles unconditionally.   Not one person said it was OK for the beatles to do something and not green day.  I truly did not understand what you were saying

no one Has to explicitly say these things though - The Beatles is a band that is pretty universally loved, admired, and seen as one of the biggest influences in music. So, I was just trying to start a conversation about how people seemed happy about musically sounding like them, but unhappy with the lyric content even though The Beatles weren't like fucking - Chuck Palahnuik - for every single one of their songs.

I was trying to make people actually think about their criticism on some of the lyrics but, nevermind I guess!!! :) Not excusing all lyrics on RR - some are total shit but some people are just picking apart shit to be critical for no reason and it's making my mind wheels turn. I like critical thinking. I'm not meaning to come across any particular way... I literally just want to talk about the album on all levels with people that know it as well as I do!

Gave up on waiting for slow ass Warner to give me my pre-orders so I picked up a standard copy on my way home from work.

Cant wait to finally hear this incredible album again.

In regards to the Beatles argument: Beatles came to popularity in the 60/70s. Music was different then. It was friendly, poppy, and goofy. Drug use was prominent. Beatles have some some very nonsensical lyrics as a result, but they fit this genre and era.

Green Day came about in an era of honest lyrics, introspection, and seriousness. Music nowadays isn't goofy. Compare a 60s prom to a 2000s prom. Even the poppier songs now often are dark and gritty. Anyway, Green Day can't since about flying through rainbows and clouds like the Beatles could because the audience and expectations are different.

Anyone else getting a 404 error when they try to download the digital copy that Warner sends out for pre-orders?

This album is going to have a hard time getting to #1. Norah Jones and OneRepublic both released albums as well.
