moonj17
I wonder if the ones sold at Walmart are censored. Doesn't Walmart have a thing about selling music with explicit lyrics? There doesn't appear to be a warning sticker on that cd in the picture.
DookieLukie
The cover with get two reactions: 1) People will pass by it not knowing who made it or what it is. 2) People will be curious about the unlabeled cover and check it out.

I haven't seen a hard copy, but I'm going to make the assumption that there will be a label on the plastic. So when it is wrapped up in stores it will say on it 'Green Day - Revolution Radio' in some design. Then once is is unwrapped it will be the plain cover we know. Just taking a guess though. Ah yeah you're probably right. Kind of a shame, takes away the only interesting aspect of it. Still I'm looking forward to going and buying it, and I like the back cover. It's perfect and I'm obsessed. Just trying to stop this last week so that way I can create some build-up to it actually being released. Not that I wouldn't be excited anyway. But still. By the time Friday rolls around I'll be jumping out of my skin wanting to listen to it. I can't wait! Now I'm jealous! lol. I'm trying to staying calm but Outlaws is defintely my most hyped song, I can't wait to listen to it. I'm still at The first four tracks, plus Still Breathing and Youngblood. For me revrad itself is the weakest song so far, but it's still so good because I find myself humming it and making awkward imitation noises of the instruments when it doesn't come on immediately after Bang Bang lol. I'm also tyring to limit it this week. I'm really hoping the vinyl comes on Friday, and if not maybe I'll suck it up and listen to the digital version Friday lol. That Dude
Congrats on all the folks that haven't listened to the record yet. It's been blasting in my car and nonstop since the night of the leak and I'm not sick of it yet. I'm still going to be excited to run out Friday and grab the cd. Is there anyone here who hasn't listened to ANYTHING from it yet? It would be some crazy self control but totally worth it when the album finally drops! For those of you who have only heard BANG BANG, RevRad and Still Breathing.....you are in for a crazy ride. The first listen is a doozy.

It's easy for me to resist the leak, cause I want my first listen to be in full lossless quality. Eventually I may upgrade to the vinyl for the full sound haha. unextraordinarygirl
It's such an awesome album. I can't wait for you guys to hear it and hope you love it as much as I do. I've held out and haven't listened to the whole album since the day it leaked. I did break down and listen to Say Goodbye last night, but I'm really trying to wait until my cd comes on Friday for a full listen again. Amazon says it will be shipped out tomorrow. stories and songs
I pre-orded on iTunes just so I can keep it with me all the time (as I do with all of them), but on Friday I'm going to pick up a CD for the car. It's going to quickly become the most worn CD in the world, I suspect.

That Dude
How long has the leak been out? In any case, I've had enough time to nail down how I feel about RevRad. If it weren't for "Bouncing off the Individual Wall" I'd say it was a solid 10. But nothing is perfect and that song is pretty darn catchy when I don't skip over it. Bounce is definitely the worst of the bunch. Too Dumb to Die is my favorite song! The memories of a lost loved one with the hope that their dreams, like our own, will live on. Very powerful track, a spiritual sequel to Wake Me Up When September Ends while sonicly it's Green Day 4.0. What a staggering sound they've created! Forever Now, Say Goodbye and Outlaws are my top picks after that one. The first three tracks (Somewhere Now, bang bang, RevRad) are very good, but sometimes I skip them to get to the ones above. Youngblood is light and fun. Troubled Times has grown on me, but I feel like it's missing something. If it had one more verse or a bit more meat in the chorus perhaps. It's alright. Not great, not bad. Ordinary World is amazing.

But with every other setup it sounds noisy and too loud. So much buzzing and clipping on tracks. The fact that you have to change the volume during the songs to hear them properly doesn't help the album either. When it comes to mastering they couldn't do a worse job.
