rockmanx37
The FYE Green vinyl looks great, and yes it has been posted few pages back. ---- Also Already ordered the stuff, but i have one question. The Lyric Book is the only CD version or we get another normal CD version too? I'm asking because i see two different versions for the CD format in Amazon, and, the Shirt+CD bundle seems to be a regular CD and nothing else. And now I want to buy the normal CD too, and also regular vinyl wich i think is black!

Steven Seagull
Didn't listen to the album for two days now. Based on that I like it even less than 21CB. When 21CB came out I at least listened it a week or two before I completely forgot about it.

I din't completely forget, but yeah when it came out, I was giving to it more listen than this album and that time I preferred more songs from 21CB compared to the new album. IrelandCalling
Great seeing positive comments here for Troubled Times; that along with Forever Now and Bouncing off the Walls were the standouts for me initially. The sequence of Times and Forever a wonderful 9 or so minutes of prime GD.
Alan86
I find this easier to listen to than 21st Century Breakdown. I love 21st Century Breakdown but it is too long. RevRad is much easier to sit down and listen to the full album. I think 11 - 13 songs is the perfect range for an album.
the69thgumby
Does anyone else get extreme RATM vibes from Say Goodbye? Seriously, the verses and heavy instrumentals sound like it could be a sequel to Killing in the Name! It's so great! Also I'm in the minority on this (lawl references), because while I think the verses are very well written, I don't much care for the Troubled Times chorus. Billie's used this line before (99 Revolutions) and I feel like it's slightly cliched and all he does is repeat it. I feel like he could have done more with it. I still dig the political theme though, and I think it would work as a single for right now. 2 hours ago, Steven Seagull said: Didn't listen to the album for two days now. While the chorus for Troubled Times is repetitive, I do like the backing vocals during it and I like the way Billie sounds. I think the chorus for Troublemaker is an example of a bad, repetitive chorus because nothing is going on in it, it's just Billie repeating "Wanna be a troublemaker". Besides I think the verses make up for it because they're so well written

MikeyB99
After listening through the album a dozen times, I think in my opinion, I'd rank the songs from worst to best as 12) Say Goodbye 11) Revolution Radio 10) Bang Bang 9) Youngblood 8) Forever Now 7) Bouncing Off The Walls 6) Ordinary World 5) Somewhere Now 4) Troubled Times 3) Too Dumb To Die 2) Still Breathing 1) Outlaws Something to that effect. Subject to change of course.
IrelandCalling
Just watched clips of the New Jersey show from Thursday night; Billie re donning the AI style red tie over black shirt; and Bang Bang sounding bloody awesome as the opener. bloodymurderbitch
The more I listen to the album the more intensely I'm loving it. The few songs that at first I was up in the air about I'm just...im just loving it. im just fucking loving this album. I keep listening every chance I get and I get emotional listening to it because it feels like such honesty coming at me. It feels real. some of the lyrics though simple say so much - which I think Billie has an exceptional talent for doing. Yeah, some of the lyrics are also a bit silly but because I enjoy the musical aspect of the songs so much that stopped irking me after a few listens and I just go with it. I especially love his lyric work in Somewhere Now / Forever Now. You can understand his confusion and fear, yet urgent hopefulness so clearly in Forever Now...it's like standing at the edge of recovery. The line 'standing at the edge of the world, it's giving me the chills' brings me to the beginning of my own recovery and that feeling so intense in your gut - looking back at things you've done while sick and looking forward clearly for what feels like the first time. That moment, I feel it in his words and voice. Also obsessed with the whole section 'if this is what you call a good life I want a better way to die.' Omg, the whole show was amazing! I also got to hear Bang Bang during sound check while on the crazy long line for the one porta-potty they had on site. At least it made a typically unpleasant experience totally worthwhile. Thank you, Starland Ballroom, for your excellent porta-potty placement! IrelandCalling
The real barometer of quality in this house is my 3 year old daughter, she is a live wire so if a piece of music captures her attention then it must be good. I remember when she was 1, calming her down in evenings I needed music that ahe would stop and pay attention to - Green Day live videos always worked; her favourites, Tokyo 2005 and France 2009 where most of 21stCB was played. I played her RevRad this afternoon; and as expected, she tuned in and started her dancing The top bands that captured her attention (loud guitars tend to do it) are Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden and Green Day. She likes thrash too, mainly Megadeth and Kreator! Woohoo!

Well, they've now made ''Know your enemy'' the opener, for whatever reason. I'm still waiting for some high quality recordings of their shows (such as on tv), but I don't think there will be any tv recordings of any of their concerts of this tour, sadly... Dakke
Forever Now really is the soul of the album. The previous songs are all different parts of Billie's personal experience in various regards, but it's really in this song that everything comes together and the joie de vivre, particularly in the medley at the end ("I don't wanna stand in line no more" - "I want to start a revolution") after the darkness shines through. I personally think it's stronger than American Eulogy. I definitely feel very connected to this album, even more so than 21CB.

Jessie Armstrong
Let me preface this by saying my boys kinda dropped the ball on the cosmetics of this album. Revolution Radio isn't a particularly great title. This could be forgiven if the album art was better, but it's really worse than the title. When I first saw it, I assumed it was a placeholder... :/ The lyric videos they've done are perfect though. Somewhere Now gives me some AI vibes when the band kicks in. Before that it seems a bit... off. Idk what it is about it. Reminds me of Homecoming, but not as good, but still good. 7/10 Bang Bang is a great track, I love everything about it, especially the venom in the lyrics and delivery. It's perfectly executed Green Day. 9/10 Revolution Radio is pretty damn good. Almost as good as Bang Bang, but not quite. 8/10 Say Goodbye is badass, I love it. I think it coulda used something else, but it's still a jamb. 8/10 Outlaws is alright... maybe it'll grow on me. I've seen this compared to Brutal Love but I feel that Brutal Love is far superior. The bridge is pretty bangin'. 6/10 Bouncing Off The Walls is really solid, it gives me good Trilogy vibes. Hype stuff, and I'm all about it. 8/10 Still Breathing is a standout for me, due to it's meaning for Billie and one of the few tracks that gave me goosebumps on this record. I can tell he feels it. I get why some people dislike the production (though I think it's fine) and verses but I love that chorus. Uplifting Green Day is a big part of the punk rock that saved my life, after all. 8.5/10 Youngblood is perfect! I love everything about this one. It's stuck in my head all the time now. 9/10 I really like Too Dumb To Die a lot. It seems really genuine and it's well done. 8/10 Troubled Times has its heart in the right place, but falls kind of flat :/ feels like the most filler track on here by far. 5/10 Forever Now is pretty fun, but then the reprise doesn't do much for me. The rest of the song is pretty spot on though. I do appreciate the tying together of the album. 7/10 Ordinary World has grown on me a bit... it's kind of on the cliche side, but it's really well done so it's not like I skip it. It kinda clicked with me when I took a walk tonight. I think it will grow on me more. 7.5/10 Overall I guess mathematically it ends up as an 8.5. A solid B which I think is fair. I think it's a really solid album, but I know Green Day is capable of more... but there was no grand plan this time around. It's good music and as long as they're happy with what they're doing that's all I can ask for. I think it's an honest, straight up record. Contrary to what some are saying, this is exactly the record they wanted to put out. I'm not expecting them to change my life a third time, but I wouldn't put it past them. It's not with this record, though... but not every record can and that's okay. I'm still gonna put this on max volume.
M0n3y
I refuse to listen to the leaked album. I won't even listen to it when it apears on Spotify. The first time I'll hear it will be when it arrives by mail and I'll annoy the neighbours non-stop for the week that follows. The Trilogy took about a month to arrive, hopefully RevRad will be faster
