I really hear old Beatles. It is one of the songs that has really grown on me.
stories and songs
I keep seeing people compare the more upbeat songs to FBHT and the Trilogy. All I hear is Beatles. And it's fantastic. It suits them so well.
munz6691
Revolution Radio, the song, would be better if you take the chorus and combine it with 99 revolutions verses.

sick
I love the new song "i'm still breathing", 'cause i'm still breathing. After i turned 30 this year, somehow it's easier to get into those lyrics. Feels awesome, stil loving Green Day after 12 years..
Paola17
Since there are no links online anymore, can't hear it again until oct 7. Also, new shirt (sorry if it's meant to go in a different thread!)
Siddharth_471
Finally heard the whole record. Great one! My favourites are: Bang Bang, Say Goodbye, Forever Now, Still Breathing, Outlaws, Revolution Radio, Too Dumb To Die. At first I couldn't really get into Somewhere Now and Troubled Times due to being different but at second listen really liked them. Bouncing Off The Wall is totally weird, intro sounded amazing but the moment the verse starts it gains a strange 'Mickey Mouse Club House' level of catchy-ness which actually makes one laugh, Youngblood is OK as how it's supposed to be. Bang Bang and Say Goodbye are solid tracks from the album. Forever Now is surely an epic song with hints of Nimrod and even AI and 21stCB in the later half. Still Breathing rocks and to be honest it never really sounded 'otherworldly' or totally different to me and it's still pretty much standard GD and I loved it, Outlaws also has a unique 'stoner punk' vibe in it and is emotional too, both the songs are special. RevRad is more straight forward but a good track. Ordinary World is a good closer and I think a guitar solo would have made it even more better but still got great rythm. One more thing is that they have surely pulled some Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd in songs like Outlaws, TDTD and Somewhere Now (influenced by The Who) which is also a plus point. I came here to write the same thing, when it gets to 'I've got no supervision, nothing will change my spirit...' I need to stop whatever I'm doing and just appreciate the song, definitely one of the most powerful moments on the album (well, for me). The lyrics are amazing. MaraGreenDay
I can't believe I'm actually made it through all this thread and all this time and not listen to the album even when I got it lol, But now I just have to wait a week, I can do this! If we think about RevRad it's only one album so I'd think that it would be mentally easier for people to buy it. Also I'd say that the Iheart incident affected sales too. Also people really seem to like Bang Bang a lot more than Oh Love. Sure Oh Love had better mainstream success but mainstream music's target audience doesn't buy music as actively as rock music's target audience does. Haushinka!
I only listened to Rev Rad once when it was up on Youtube, and I decided to wait until the release to listen again. I just want to say that i'm really proud of those of you that haven't listened to the album at all. I'm feeling anxious even after listening to it already, I can't imagine how you guys feel! Haha. One more week!
