The lyrics and emotion of the song are really hitting me hard now. I love the lyrics. "We destroyed suburbia, when we were outlaws" It's my adolescence! Out with my band, drinking booze and going to see other bands live and after every gig it was joints and sex and then other beer.. Ok too many memories

It was from last night in New Jersey. They were supposed to play it in Ohio, too, but they changed it to Minority after playing the first chord of Still Breathing. Which I found it interesting that they also followed up Still Breathing last night with Minority. I wonder if there's any reason they're pairing them up other than the fact that Still Breathing is more of an emotional song, and Minority will get people pumped up again? House Of Wolves
I'm so stoked that Green Day and Against Me! put out two class A rock records out in a row. They should definitely do a tour.

I also think of Westbound Sign as being a sequel to 2000 Light Years Away (even has a nod to it with "2000 miles away-ay"), I guess this makes it a trilogy . Reminds me most of She's a Rebel though, especially "Are you stranded, like I'm stranded?"/"Are you broken, like I'm broken?", and just with the pace and theme as well. I like all the nostalgia on the album, there and most notably in Outlaws and Too Dumb to Die. When I listen to Outlaws it makes me start thinking of all the stories of their silly antics when they were younger I've heard over the years
Ian1234
I didn't really like Still Breathing at first. But the song has grown on me.
Cameron.
Absolutely underwhelming record, doesn't sound anything like I thought it would at all. You'd think after the trilogy flopped there would be a different sound at least! It sounds pretty familiar to the trilogy. The vocals still sound overproduced and there's nothing really that interesting here. Aside from Bang Bang, nothing here grabs me. I'll give it the fact that it's more consistent than the trilogy, but I even think the trilogy has more interesting songs on there as opposed to here. I like Bang Bang, and Still Breathing isn't too bad, but I don't really see myself listening to this more than a few times. Maybe it grows on me, but I don't think there's enough substance for me to actually grow to like it. It's not terrible - but man is it disappointing. I'm a long time fan, and I know they are capable of so much more than generic pop rock like this.
greenalert997x
I haven't written yet just few words I LOVE REVRAD loud guitars, great melodies and fortunetly, they didn't polish the songs, it's harder. I can't complain about the production, to me it's great I love BOTW, TDTD, BB, Forever Now Ordinary World (so beautiful without vocal effects). I probably like Outlaws the least, Still Breathing is still mediocre, but I orginally hated it. RevRad met my expectations, 8/
Eric
@Hermione Yeah continuing the conversation here before I get warned. Youngblood is just fun and I think Revrad needed a song like that placed in. Not everything has to be so serious all the time! Definitely a stand out track for me! Mother_of_Dragons
Just caved and listened to Somewhere Now. I'm blown away right now. It's so different, and yet, so Green Day. FREAK OUT!! Right. No more. I told myself I'd wait...

Yeah and it's not like it's just silliness either, seem to keep mentioning this one but "she's the cedar in the trees of Minnesota" is a such a good line. Really cute love song. You are correct, GD has plenty of stand out silly tracks, but Youngblood is just seriously cringeworthy. The lyrics are so cringeworthy, I would put this song in the bottom 10 of GD songs ever. Musically, it is fun and catchy.
AmyxLongview
Did anyone else notice the phrase "forever now" is said in Outlaws but not in the song Forever Now? Also, I listened to the album back to back with Tre yesterday (my favorite from the trilogy) and it completely blew Tre out of the water

That Dude
I'm starting to hear more of the social commentary that earlier we all thought was missing. When I hear "Say Goodbye" all I can think about is innocent people getting killed by cops. I was probably one of the folks talking about how the early released songs weren't powerful enough lyrically to justify the album title. I was wrong. We were wrong. This album is so powerful and has strong messages. They are just don't beat you over the head with it.
