I really wouldn't read too much into the lyrics. I mean normally I analyse them to death but when he's rhyming cause with santa clause and camouflage in one song and there's that thing about him being a cello over a rainbow or something these are worse lyrics than his bmexecellent tits days so they probably mean absolutely nothing.

I'm considering Youngblood to be She's a Rebel part 2. Also the fabulous Say Goodbye reminds me a lot of East Jesus Nowhere, it has that same strut.

Is Youngblood as energetic and catchy as She's a Rebel?

Maybe not as quite :P but almost, and the lyrics are very reminiscent of it.

She's a Rebel is a great song though and Youngblood could easily be contender for the worst GD song ever. It sounds like a rash set to music and the lyrics are jaw droppingly bad. By the time he says "youngblood" for the six thousand time I'm practically pulling my ears off.

Alright! Well that's good enough for me, I think. Can't wait to hear it

Whether it's good or bad is subjective, but I find the upbeatness/catchiness/repetitiveness/pace/subject matter/lyrics make it very similar to She's a Rebel.

Oh I thought you'd heard it and were challenging my assessment of it . Yes that's what I think about it!

Haha sorry, no. I was just curious to your opinion on the song. Haven't checked out any of the songs except for the released "singles".

Interesting how we have an exactly opposite feeling about this song :D

This is definitely an album that grows on you. I love Billie's vocals more with every listen. Tré's drums are just so good. At least some transitions felt jarring, but the contrast between the furious drums and bass of Bouncing Off the Wall and the more serene intro of Still Breathing is just perfect. The passion is really back.

Yeah. Everybody has different favorites. I freaking love BotW, whilst others hate it, idem for Outlaws.

Too Dumb To Die is a nice little rocker and is perfectly placed right after Youngblood

Probably right now my least favourite, still I really like it and the lyrics are just amazing

"My daddy always was on strike
Goin’ off with the teamsters
He said that everything will be all right
Not every Sunday can be Easter"

Yeah, those lyrics are typically Billie. They are far superior to anything on the Trilogy and it really shows he took his time to write them and put his heart and soul into them instead of mass-producing tracks like the Trilogy.

Forever Now is fucking glorious

"I never learned to read or write as well, but I can play the guitar until it hurts like hell." A simple, yet so clever and personal line that makes me scream out: Green Day is back bitchesss!!! Everything on this track is just bloody good.
