stories and songs
Green Day regularly has a bit of Beatles in them, but this album much more so than the others. I wonder if that stemmed from Billie writing music for These Paper Bullets? Whatever the reason, I dig it.
UNICORN VOMIT
I officially love this album.
stories and songs
Seriously, my brain keeps switching stations. I can't decide which song is stuck in my head, they're all so good and...sticky!
UNICORN VOMIT
The first couple of listens it was a bit all over the place as it was so different - now Im getting that comfy GD feeling again.
PleasedToMeetMe
The feeling I got when I heard Forever Now was the exact same feeling I got when I first heard Jesus of Suburbia 12 years ago.

PleasedToMeetMe
At this point my least favorite song is Say Goodbye just because of the Personal Jesus thing. I just can't look past that for some reason.
UNICORN VOMIT
Youngblood is my least favourite but I still like it - its BJ being a dork.
BullwinkleCheech
The songs that were released prior to the leak/released gave me good hope but I must say the rest kind of dissapoints me. Somewhere Now is a really cool song and I can dig Bouncing Of The Walls and Youngblood but overall, this is not the type of album I expected it to be. Bummer. Jogs
Man Outlaws is such a sad song, it's like a story of two rebels/lovers that can't cope with each other and one of them committed suicide at the end of the song thus "You took the train and you can't go back, forever now you'll roam"

That's enough listens today though.
inthehallwaynow
It's the first Green Day cd I needed to listen to twice before being comfortable with it. I love Revolution Radio the most and Bouncing Off The Wall the least. Outlaws is my fucking drug damn I love that song. I wish the beginning of Too Dumb To Die was its own track cause its that beautiful to ma ear holes. Ordinary World i could live without.. but its fine. The album is really fucking good and I hope people give it a chance who don't usually listen to GD I think it satisfies a bunch of tastes so EVERYONE can enjoy! UNICORN VOMIT
This album is totally under my skin - even though I should not have listen to it officially yet But for those of you that can't get into it just listen to it 2 or 3 times from start to finish you will see what a well crafted album this is. Each time I listen to it I hear something different & I am loving the simplistic acoustic Ordinary World at the end. BJ's vocals give me the feels. This alum is WOW. Hermione
So in love with this album. As of now Say Goodbye, Somewhere Now, Youngblood, Bang Bang and Too Dumb To Die are my favourites. It's all so good though. Only just dawned on me that "she's the cedar in the trees of Minnesota" in Youngblood is a reference to Adrienne being of Lebanese heritage (cedars being the symbol of Lebanon), awesome line. 6 hours ago, Hero_Of_The_Hour said: Just realised why Troubled Times was so familiar the first time I heard it...it reminded me of The Raconteurs Steady As She Goes. It's still one of the only decent songs on the album though. That and Bang Bang, Rev Rad and my favourite Say Goodbye which has a Marilyn Manson vibe to it. I knew that sounded familiar! stefand11
bouncing off the walls growing on me big time and the way it leads into still breathing....kind of reminds me of christians inferno followed by last night on earth. Hero_Of_The_Hour
I've listened to this three times now and it's getting worse not better It all goes downhill instantly the second Somewhere Now begins and all I can think of is Boston More Than A Feeling... Take four...
