My favourite has to be Ordinary World. Still kinda sad Devil's Kind wasn't on the album, really like that one even though I only heard 4 seconds of it.

I'm starting to understand what you all were saying about the really loud guitars. I've been listening to this album all day and when I took my earbuds out I felt like I went a little deaf. :lol: Good god.

Say Goodbye is my least favorite track on the album, yet I've had it stuck in my head all day. So that's saying something. :lol:

Outlaws was (I thought) my least favorite but it has been in my head all day, too. The power of Green Day.

I expected they will make something like the trilogy this time as well but the end result is a huge dissapointment for me. Only half of the songs are good.

You expected them to do exactly the same thing again after they got critically and commercially panned for it?

Well...that was shockingly disappointing :ermm::(

Say Goodbye is my favourite new track but the only others I think are even decent are Troubled Times and obviously Bang Bang and Rev Rad. My jaw hit the floor with how bad Youngblood is. It's painful that I waited four years for this and so badly wanted to love it. And the lyrics...oh dear god the lyrics :cry:

I love revrad, i think its amazing. I'm so happy they dipped into new styles and genres, makes for a mature, diverse and fantastic album that still retains that green day sound. I feel like some people here only listen to one genre of music. Green day have done the whole 3 powerchord songs to death now, its not 1994 anymore. This is an album for the Green Day of today and i think its awesome. Say Goodbye, Too dumb too die and somewhere now are my favorites at the minute. In their whole career, ive never really heard them make songs like some of them on Revrad and i think thats great, its fresh and more interesting both instrumentally and sonically.

We should really start our own "We dislike RevRad thread" :ermm: Never ever seen such difference between opinions. It's like 50% like it and 50% don't.

I really love the record ... there are so many different styles and sounds.... dark and happy... slow and kickmyass-songs... it is strange mix of songs but each song has something special . after hearing the songs many times it is hard to say what is my favorite but i believe it is still breathing. some parts of other songs sounds very experimental and perhaps sometimes to much like the end of forever now where the drum roll part starts but on the other hand it rocks so much when you hear it on high volume. i like this guitar driven mix of the songs as it was on AI .... after all : a very good record

It's 50-50 because of you writing on every page of this thread so this makes an illusion.

The reception is mostly positive.

More like 80% like it and 20% are confused by it.

Im kind of amazed that so many people here like the album! compared to American Idiot revrad is garbage! Ive never disliked so strongly a Green Day album! I even enjoyed quite a few trilogy songs like many here i imagine!

It is weird because there are many songs which are difficult so hear because there are so many parts and loops and solos and so on...but when you hear each song for itself you see that each songs has something special in it...and as a musician you see that it is really high class playing what they do here.

A few people don't like the new album, but I wouldn't sweat it cuz everybody's bouncing off the walls.

and for all who say that it is not tres best drum playing .... ;) ... try to play along the middle / end part of forever now as he does :D ... looking forward to see this live

RevRad is his most impressive performance on any record. I would say by far. I play real drums, and I am getting anxious about learning all this new stuff.

Tons of new fills (he had previously done variations of the same usually) and more off beat stuff than usual. He's becoming more and more like Travis Barker, and I love it.
