Does the beginning of Somewhere Now remind anyone else of Boston's More than A Feeing or am I going crazy? :P

Somewhere Now is out of this world given just one listen. WOW.

It's easy lol try adding the 24 hour filter on google.

I tried that and kept getting those dodgy ones to fill in surveys. I think I'll end up killing my computer if I keep going haha

im really impressed with the mixing on this album, its sounds way fuller and bigger than the trilogys thin and stripped down sound, im diggin the sound a lot, and is it me or does Say Goodbye sound like a Royal Blood song lol

LOL thought the same. The album just sounds nothing like the usual template Green Day that has come along since AI.

The folks who have been disappointed with Billie's lyrics in recent years will be thrilled with this album. There's phenomenal, clever writing all over this.

It's definitely better but like, there is a lot of clunkers in here.

"I'm like a punk rocker on Labor day", "I was looking for a cause but all I found was Santa Claus" like wtf is that haha

I wanted to compare this to 21st Century Breakdown so I switched over to that and realized how dry their previous albums sound compared to this. Revolution Radio is a lot warmer. Other thing is that they turned up the volume so high and it makes 21st CB sound quiet through my headphones

Too Dumb To Die- YES YES YES!! I'm dancing around in my basement while listening to it. LOL

Troubled Times- Yes Yes Yes rock on!! The vocals sound muffled but overall it's a great song!

Forever Now- My name is Billie and I'm freaking out. LOL funniest first line of a song ever! I didn't learn to read and write so well but I could play guitar. Pretty autobiographical song. I love it!

Ordinary World- I just love this song. It's so sweet and honest. I can totally relate to it since I live an Ordinary life.

Overall opinon- I really like this album a lot and can't wait to listen to it more!!

OMG I thought the same thing. I started singing it. And Troubled Times reminds me of California Dreaming by The Mamas and the Papas. LOL I'm so old.

I couldn't be happier with this album. It totally reminds me of the Foo Fighters. I can't wait to see them live.

Told ya, bro.

maybe. If you're one of those who thinks everything after 1994 is thrash I guess you've made up your mind? Nah I don't think you'll dislike the album, but I hear very little Dookie in this.

Actually I love most albums,  but AI and 21 are not my favorite.  I really love both Nimrod and Warning,  and I actually love the trilogy 😊

I'd say it's a fair mix between 21st CB, Warning and the trilogy in some parts.

I want to wait till Oct 7 to listen to the album (not sure if I'm gonna be that strong lol) but so far I'm loving the comparisons with The Beatles and The Who and 60s 70s rock, plus @dolce_amore93 loved it so I'm pretty sure It's gonna be one of my favorite albums, I can't wait! :runaround:

Bouncing Off the Walls > Still Breathing transition is weird. I was expecting Still Breathing to connect with it, but it's actually just a completely different sound. I don't particularly care and it doesn't impact my enjoyment of either song, but it is an odd transition.

The mix is really amateurish to be fair. Way too loud.

All I can say is wait for HDTracks.

After one listen, I am... not as excited as I was after hearing the three singles. I am happy with this release though, and I know it'll just grow on me. Aside from the three singles which I love, the only songs I really love after one listen would be Say Goodbye, Troubled Times and Forever Now. Bouncing Off the Wall, Too Dumb to Die and Youngblood all seem unfinished in some sense and have some pretty bad lyrics. Ordinary World is a weak way to end the album, shouldn't have just been an acoustic song.

Pretty much what I expected, maybe a little less hype than I thought I'd be. Happy though!! Thanks Green Day

The 'transition' or lack of one shocked me. Really really odd.
