I'm not generally a big fan of that, and I think the lyrics get pretty laughably bad at points, so that's why I'm assuming

Yeah, unless you look really deep into the lyrics and interpret different scenarios, there's just not a lot there. Sounds like Billie wrote it on the spot when they hit the record button. Say Goodbye and Bouncing Off The Wall are contenders for the best song on the thing.

It feels so good to have them back. Like really, really back. This is going to be an awesome new chapter.

I don't know if it's just me but it doesn't feel like a new chapter is really happening. I don't feel like this is it, a new album that we'll remember and discuss for years to come. It doesn't seem real.

There most creative, fun, and catchy album yet. I'm so glad they didn't overthink this album. I love the warning and 21CB vibes on it. It's honestly perfect. 9/10 Can't wait to hear them live.

They didn't overthink it, and yet I think it's one of the most inventive albums they've made in terms of the range of music. It's all over the map and they tried a lot of new, cool stuff.

There are actually multiple instances on this album where I've thought, "Damn, I always wanted them to make a song like this, but I never thought they'd actually do it!"

Give it time.

Youngblood is the perfect single.

Ah yeah, it's not like that's subjective at all.

Same here. And it's not even out yet. Shame.

Same here. Looks like I'll just take the songs I like and that's it. Not really a good album. Well now I wait for Sum 41 and NOFX. Hope that at least one of those will be good.

Say Goodbye is so different for them but it just sounds like pure fucking Green Day at the same time!

Despite the massive hate Outlaws is getting, I'm sure that when I'll be on my 40's, I'll play this song and I won't be able to handle the nostalgia of youth and I'll shed a few tears remembering this time of life, right now I'm forever young.

The reception of Outlaws is pretty positive from what I've seen. A few people really hate it, but it seems that most people love it. On reddit, its the one getting most mention as well. Its by far my favourite off the record.

Looking forward to NOFX, gotta be honest. However, Sum 41 died when Deryck stopped drinking. It sounds horrible to say that but the singles so far have been absolute garbage.

Am I the only one who reads "Say goodbye from your car" to the tune of 8th Avenue Serenade in my head when reading the title "Say Goodbye"?

As far as I'm concerned, the Trilogy era was basically a lost era for them. The exposure it got in the beginning was weird, and then exposure dropped off completely when Billie went to rehab. The tour was cut very short, and a handful of people (myself included) weren't really "feeling it" at the concerts because everything still felt so uncertain. It's an era we'll continue to talk about, but perhaps not for the right reasons.

I have no way of knowing if RevRad will be one we talk about for years to come. But for me, Warning and 21CB are my two favorite GD albums, and this album is basically a combination of the two, mixed with some totally new sounds. I've only given the full album one whole listen and then just keep re-listening to my favorites, but this album is something special to me. Might not be the same for you, but it definitely marks good times ahead from my perspective.

Youngblood is that kind of song that has the luxury of having a repetitive chorus but it will never get old.

You're saying this the day of the leak. How about you give it a couple more listens like he just said?

Wait until the shows kick in, then RevRad will feel real.

Is it just me or does the mixing sound kind of sloppy at some points? Sometimes the guitars will have a nice crunch to them, while other times they'll sound fairly dull.

Some of the songs here also have similar issues to what I had with 21st CB. I dig the verses of Say Goodbye and Outlaws, because they're so distinctive from everything else on the record, but then they kind of kill it for me by going the big chorus route where it sounds like another standard Green Day song.

Also, where the fuck is Jason Freese? Didn't Billie post a picture of him recording some brass for the album? Lol

Overall on first listen I think it's okay, better than any of the trilogy albums for sure.

We get it. You don't like it. but give the rest of us a chance to form our own opinions.

I didn't think I would like Say Goodbye when it first started but now I'm really digging it. It's  so good!
