That's still more songs than you liked from American Idiot, such negative vibes :P

Yeah I said in my first post that it's still better than 21CB and AI but it can't compete with any other album.

Outlaws is growing on me; not as in love with it as a lot of people seem to be. It's a bit slow at first, but then the guitars toward the end are phenomenal. Everything toward the end of that song is awesome, actually.

I, I WANNA START A REVOLUTION, I WANNA HEAR IT ON THE RADIOOOOOOO

I know there's a song called Revolution Radio, but for some reason this insertion into another song made all, "Haha, he said the thing!" LOL.

The transition between Too dumb too die, funny and carefree, and Troubled Times, one of the heaviest and darkest song they've ever written, is just epic.

A perfect painting of our era.

JK, second listen was wholly incredible. :ga: The "Forever Now" line at the end? Damn it Billie why are you so good at this writing thing?

Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Say Goodbye, Bouncing Off the Wall, Too Dumb to Die and Troubled Times are my favourites. They pack such a fuckin' punch that remind me alot of the attitude they had on albums predating Shenanigans (especially Too Dumb to Die).

Somewhere Now and Forever Now will grow on me I presume, I didn't really notice anything particularly phenomenal about them (however that acoustic riff is pretty awesome, reminds me of Grateful Dead for some reason).

Outlaws and Youngblood let me down a little bit, I found them to sound a little uncertain and out of place on the record tbh. Only given the album a listen 3 times now, perhaps they'll grow on me.

I think this is a pretty solid release, stronger than the trilogy, and on par with 21st Century Breakdown. Could use with a little less of the vocal effects that were peppered around a bit carelessly, but otherwise I can't really think of anything else to complain about. I was a bit worried about the album's progression and cohesion in between tracks, but all in all I think it flows quite nicely from start to finish. Can't wait to watch these performed live.

On my first listen and I quite like it so far.

Somewhere Now has massive Breakdown vibe.

Say Goodbye pretty cool war drum driven song

Outlaws totally reminds me of a 50's ballad, can imagine a music video with the guys all cleaned, playing at a 50's school dance

Bouncing Off The Wall is so fun and balls to the wall. The ending reminds me of how American Eulogy leads into See The Light

Still Breathing is just wow. cant say much more

Youngblood really reminds me of Bowling For Soup. It's a really good song

Too Dumb To Die sounds like Fashion Victim, my favorite warning song. No complaints

Trouble Times is my favorite so far wowwy wow

Forever Now reminds me so much of AI and 21st its unreal

Ordinary World is a nice peacful little closer after this sprawl

7/10

Each to their own, I'd say dookie and 21stCB top it

I respect that, but in my view there's not a chance 21stCB is better. Maybe it's just me but I always thought it was way too overproduced. I can't even compare Dookie to anything they've done after, it's just a different sound. Anyways, RR is GD touching new ground kinda you can hear how mature and cohesive their sound is now. I think it's exciting times for us fans right now we got a great album.

Outlaws and Ordinary World are the worst songs on the album. Outlaws reminds me too much of Wild One (which I don't like in the first place), it plods along and goes nowhere. Ordinary World is so slow and boring. Never been a fan of Billie and just a guitar, would rather the whole band be kicking and screaming. Apart from those two tidbits, the rest of the record is so fucking good.

Youngblood is not good.

Would've been the best choice for a single. Better than any of the three released by the band.

Really hoping Say Goodbye or Too Dumb to Die get picked as the next singles and not Youngblood (as that picture predicted pre-Bang Bang release).

Why are people hating on Youngblood and Bouncing Off the Wall. They're such fun songs!

Youngblood is fun. Nothing monumental, but nowhere near bad in any way.

It feels so good to have them back. Like really, really back. This is going to be an awesome new chapter.

I love Green Day's slow and mellow songs so I'm in love with those two, it looks like you're more into the faster songs like Too Dumb to Die and Bouncing Off the Wall.
