It is NEVER to late to change, as most people seem to be forgetting.

At this point in their careers they might as well try and deviate from the mainstream, because given their age and the current musical landscape they're likely never going to reach AI level relevance ever again. They might as well just go nuts.

there are sooo many ways to upload it .. no matter if there are any contracts etc

the billy talent album leaked weeks before the actual release

I know, mate. Technically it can leak at any given moment, there's always that possibility.

But I've been into leaks since 2012 when the trilogy came out and is very unlikely that this new albums gets leaked soon.

Usually is a week before the release date, sadly nowadays is getting harder to leak albums.. many albums of 2016 got leaked only a day before the release date.

It's probably their least creative title ever.

What about Do Da Da.

I didn't realise it was a fucking contest for who is the biggest Bush hater in the music industry

Wow, good job completely bypassing the overall point I was attempting to make. When it comes to the AI/21st CB you couldn't possibly dispute the fact that people here have a tendency to champion those two records for being anti-bush. That was just an element of my argument.

I feel that if musicians in their 70's are capable of making good music that touches people, Green Day of all people, being only about half that (in age) are perfectly capable of doing something extraordinary. And above all, this is fucking Green Day we're talking about. When have they ever been predictable? People thought that they were dead and irrelevant after shenanigans.

Even if Bang Bang has "true punk" vibe and will be a come-back to roots there always will be haters who would say that Green Day is sold-out, especially in my narrow-minded country. In past seven years I just got used to such behaviour and I really don't care. To tell the truth, what is currently mainstream? Is rock even mainstream? Like I give a fuck. I only hope that I will like Bang Bang. I'm selfish

They need to force rock back into the mainstream's throat

Holiday and Know Your Enemy weren't creative or poetic either, the latter in particular for a political album.

Also, in my opinion, Revolution Radio is a pretty cringe-worthy title.

PM me and argue with me if you like, I'm not gonna participate in derailing the conversation in this thread again.

That would be great but as long as my mom calls rock bands "howlers" I can't imagine that. However, I hope that some people will be attracted by Bang Bang as I was by Know Your Enemy.

Oh you mean the live staple one? Yeah, great lyrics. Atleast the title was semi-creative. A song like ''Missing You'' are a perfect example of an uncreative name.

You do know this is a Green Day forum? Makes little sense coming on here and just shitting all over everything. ;)

I've thought about this too, but I think people will find it really hard to see that those titles are a bit lame as well, thanks to the fact that we've attached them to these songs that are really good. Same thing goes for titles like 'Homecoming' or 'Warning'. That's why I think it's kind of unfair to judge a song's title so harshly.

That's Stop When the Red Lights Flash (as an interesting tidbit, they actually got that title when they covered Elvis' That's All Right on 21CB)

True, but something about Bang Bang just sounds like it's trying a little too hard too come off as "fun", similar to a lot of the vibes on the Albums-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named. I just don't find it very intriguing considering that's all we know about it outside of that one review.
