I'm hoping for a real video, not just a live performance like Oh Love. As long as it's not like the bored to death video lol! As much as I love the song, the whole high school thing has to go! 😎

The same goes for songs about how awesome California is, which made Blink's new album a double whammy of no-nos.

When I Come Around has a beautiful video too. Just... something creative

I usually like seeing solid performance videos for the 1st single, maybe with the Grey/Black western theme they have going on that pic, and maybe something more epic like WMUWSE for their second video if it's a ballad. dudley dawson
Is anyone tempted to NOT listen to the single (or any subsequent singles) until the album comes out? Go in completely fresh? I'm temped but I don't trust myself to hold out lol. Reason being, Know Your Enemy and Oh Love both disappointed me when they came out. In the context of each album, they sounded much better. I'm nervous Bang Bang will disappoint me outside of the full album context. But we shall see.

I would try if I were not on this forum, but I'm too avid a fan and too wary of letting anyone spoil the song for me, even if via a description. One single won't do harm nor is it representative of the whole record.
LostCanadianGoose
I listen to Alternative Buffalo a lot and the DJ who said the new single is like Dookie or maybe even a little rawer is very plausible in my eyes. This really seems like they're doing the Lo-Fi equipment deal like Billie said he wanted to do way back in the RS article.

Oh no I'm definitely going to listen to it as soon as possible. As if I had remotely any self control. I'd have to avoid the internet and the radio for god knows how long, because you bet your ass, I would see someone giving their opinion on it and when it's either "meh" or "terrible" I would forever hate myself for not listening to it before someone else already gave me their honest impression and ruined "the first time" for me. (Or... you know if @Steven Seagull said the track was the best they had ever done)

It's been too goddamn long since I've heard new material from them. Gotta listen as soon as possible.

Remember, in the mind of the casual listener they haven't produced something memorable since 2009's 21 Guns. Bang Bang and 12 need to nail it. Bang bang and 12???????? what is that 12? Another song? Sarcasm
I'll probably tune in to the radio, but if the whole album leaks (which could happen at any moment, mind you) I'll try to resist the temptation. I remember that one was well received by the press and then we all heard it and were (mostly) disappointed. His description just seems too good to be true to me. Like, imagine the best Green Day song ever and then multiply that by 100. That's Bang Bang. I'm not buying it until I hear it for myself.
