Person on top asked if it will be blocked for people in countries other than Spain or if anyone outside of Spain can listen.
WMSpain states that only the fans that reside in Spain will have the option to listen. Time to set up those VPNs...

as I said a few posts ago and many people did not see, it will be an audition for Spanish fans .. probably in Warner's headquarters in Spain.

I just really hope the song sounds like Billie playing guitar and singing, Mike playing bass and Tre playing drums

I edited my GDA post about the "review" to include this, addressing the debate on "sound."

Of course, there is always confusion when someone mentions "sounds like ." "Sounds like" is definitely up for interpretation on what the writer means. "Sound" could refer to the auditory/sonic values of a song, or it could refer to the song structure and simpleness of it. Until we actually hear the song with our own ears, I will reserve judgement on what I think it should "sound" like.

i dont think that it really matters. we will know once the song is published. i dont wanna waste any brain space for "could be" or what somebody said it sounds like. you put so much effort in all the reporting and then theres always trolling ;) when i critisized the "sounds like" review i was talkin about the dj tho

But the odds of it being another Dookie or AI are slim to none at best.

I think so too. It would be a pleasant surprise and I would flip my shit if they became big once again, but I think times for music have changed and the general public isn't as responsive to the kind of music anymore and the bands that were really popular ten years ago. That's probably why many bands and artists who do comebacks after a couple of years fail. At least in my experience.

But if the album is good to me, the opinion of the general public doesn't matter and I wouldn't mind if they wouldn't get big. That's not the most important thing :) The fans and critics should like it, not some random kid because "it's in to like Green Day now"

So, @WarnerMusicEs on Twitter just tweeted a song snippet but thats just How I Met Your Mother version of "Bang bang"

BUT, heres their next tweet:

Looks like we might be knowing how to listen to it early tomorrow!

I wonder if they'll play my song tomorrow. I wouldn't mind a record deal with Warner Music. Even if it's in Spain :P

Yeah, Blink-182, for example, released their newest album 'California' a few weeks back and they haven't really gotten out there much because of it. Little to no radio plays, the fans shunning them because Tom Delonge wasn't involved, so it all-around crashed and burned, unfortunately. Even if Tom had been involved, I still don't think the album would have blown up, because teens these days, the general source of music-purchasers, are more interested in half-naked women shaking their asses in music videos and listening to shitty rap that listening to something that was 'big' in the 90's-early 2000's.

As a fan of Blink, I loved their album, and am not too concerned about them hitting it big with a cache of recognition and love. As long as they know their actual fanbase loved it, that should be all that matters.

My reaction when I read the review of Bang Bang: :runaround: :runaround: :runaround:

I hope that the song will be available on the Internet on 11th as Polish Warner and radio stations have not replied to us yet...

The Blink album debuted #1......

Even though it sucks, the album was clearly a success.

That DJ's review is really promising. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting the new song to have the Dookie sound, I was thinking of something similar to AI :P But that's perfect, because I love both albums and I'll be very glad if ''Bang Bang'' really sounds like an early Green Day song.

Yeah, but overall, people haven't been super fond of it. A fair bit of the reviews I've seen were just hate. :\

This is off topic, but I love how people who were disappointed w/ the new Blink album constantly shun it and say it was a failure, despite the fact that it was their most successful album since Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. You might not personally like it, but it was far from a failure.

Only because people were desperate.

I agree for sure. I'm sure the album will be a moderate success, but the younger generation getting into music for the first time usually doesn't connect with older bands. But hey, sometime the music can be so good and inspirational (Like AI) that it speaks for itself.. And it would be amazing to see again!

I've contacted the main London rock radio stations to ask them about their plans for playing the song, might tweet/email radio 1 just for the lols.

Sadly the only very local radio station to me specialises in Asian music, the only exception I've ever heard being Michael Jackson.  Doubt I can convince them to play green day, they probably don't even know who they are
