That was great. I especially enjoyed the very last sentence. Coincidence or subtlety?

Loved the article and the subtlety of the last sentence.

Obviously we don't know how it sounds yet but so many reviews talk about a fast punk rock song sounding like their old stuff.
So I think it's safe to say that Bang Bang won't be like WMUWSE or 21 Guns in the sense of mainstream radio plays

KYE is still played often and it's not even good so I wouldn't lose hope.

I doubt this will sound like their old stuff too. People need something to compare it to that's all.

I always had trouble with that title.

It's Bab's Uvula not Bab's Vulva Seagull!

People comparing the song to older Green Day stuff is inevitable, but I think Green Day is pretty good at not repeting themselves too much. Every album has its own vibe, and I think ( and I hope ) that Bang Bang will follow the same pattern. Even Billie Joe said when he was explaining the my new band hashtag that he doesn't want to repeat the past. I think that's probably why every review we got so far are so different.

I ask to another person that is going to listen the song now if could give me an opinion/comparative. I hope that he gives me an answer (and I could share it here, of course)

My apanish friend was asked by Warner to listen Bang Bang today. He said he can't say anything now, but it sounds like Letterbomb guitars.

Okay, that's a lie. Now everyone has a Spanish or Argentine friend hahaha

Thanks man. Also, I was just joking around with him because he got mad that I posted an Instagram post before he did yesterday. It was just a bit of a goof.

1) Not a "he"

2) I meant it in a joking way, but I realize that that doesn't convey too well over the Internet.

I'm currently reading these tweets. This person is saying a lot about the song. Supposedly it is about "a party". They also said that X-mas Time of the Year will be included as a B-side. Too much info, I'll keep on reading.

Yeah I'm reading on curiosity. They have that talk of "I just created this fake profile so I wouldn't lose my job". Like Tré said, tomorrow is only a day away

Bab's Uvula Who rules but who cares if it sounds or doesn't sound like it. Someone is always gonna be disappointed .that's how green day can never satisfy people.

Like that great article stated , they got more criticism than any other band and i guess it's just because they are too awesome .Don't really care about it anymore.

On the other news, someone else heard the song and he answered some of questions saying "it sounds like AI, 21st cb ,Peacemaker" .it's obvious that the song is political but it's very different from what the other DJ said . Again, even if they included all their old stuff to the song and some unique thing too , there will be a lot of disappointed "sellout" whining people. fuck those people. That article enabled me to express my feelings directly.

I'm reading the tweets as well. I call bullshit. The guy is saying that the lyrics of bang bang is about a party and that it sounds like Stray Heart. He also said that is going to be a double album... Like I said, a bunch of BS.

From the twitter account mentioned on the last page:

Well first of all, not even 24 hours ago they were sending multiple replies to a Youtuber that it pretty much constitutes as spam. Bad start. Second, they're asking if Armitage is a new song, then saying they thought so when someone replied, followed by :"But it could be a song that was unseen in the set, but at the same time it looks contradictory that it can be new because they didn't rehearse it multiple times like rev rad and bang bang".(that's..eh).

Apparently they were one of the fans in Spain that were able to listen to the song. The following are translated quotes:

"The truth is that it doesn't [mola] much like one thought so. It's in the style of the trilogy. Nothing to do with Kerplunk or Dookie. So much waiting and it wasn't worth it."
"I compare it a lot with Stray Heart-very pop."
"The artwork shows a violent song, but the lyrics don't have anything to do with it. Bang bang references a party.""
"This new album appears to be a conclusion/summary of the last three... It seems it about to confirmed that it's a double album as there are many songs left over from the trilogy and if State of Shock will come out on the second CD. (in the sense that t will focus more so on B-sides of the trilogy.)"

Will continue to add as one reads more (that are the better tweets of this entire mess).

"Also, at the end of the year (December), after Rev Rad is released, a live cd/dvd will come out, from the last tour, and finally , in january-february, there will be a rev rad/live disc pack."
"To conclude, revolution radio is more pop than DOS"

"Haven't listened to the full album, but my years of study in music production and my experience in the magazine where I work, by just listening to the single (which serves as a sample of the CD), one can make a general conclusion."
"As a rock song, from a scale of 1-10, 5. As a pop song, an 8. Punk, 0."
"The car Billie posted, forms part of a clip, and the speakers it has on top, are to call people to the party, much in the style of Minority."
"The album cover will be a hybrid between Animals by Pink Floyd, and American Idiot"

Basically he's saying that the song is really Pop, similar to Stray Heart, bang bang is referred to a party, that the album is a sequel of the Trilogy, a double album whit the second CD made of Trilogy B sides, including a remastered version of State of Shock. Is that enough to understand this is completely bullshit?

Now that I've been through more too, it's clear that this person is not even trying hard to make it sound real.I wonder what makes people take their time and effort to spread fake news that will be forgotten in a day's time, what's the point? Also, a girl who apparently was at the preview event in Spain replied to some tweets and called the bs saying that what the fake account described was "nothing like what she had heard", and that although she could'nt say much about the song she was amazed by it.
