Page 148 and it's only 2am on Monday. God knows how many pages there will be by 11/8. Also, it's not 8/11 because the rest of the world use a sensible date format and with how you yanks write it, we'll be waiting until November 8th.

But since it's being released where we Yanks live, it's 8/11  :P

Settle down, mate. It's just a date.

You can listen to this livestream if you want: http://www.radiobob.de/
They told me it's going to be played several times that day.

AND we're several hours ahead of you (Germany and so on) so you might hear it before they play it on the American stations :)

I have no idea, but I hope some rock station here in Iowa plays it.

I emailed KRNA but haven't heard back.

I might email my rock radio station and see if they're going to play it.

My local radio station actually did an article mentioning the new single so maybe they'll do it

Yes I have fond memories of having a mosh pit with my family on Christmas morning to that song. One of my fondest memories actually.

Totally agree Daniel! Yeah, I don't get the hate for the song at all- surprise holiday release/ studio messing around track = huge win for us fans. It didn't need to be a masterpiece to serve its purpose. It was just a shitload of fun stuffed in a stocking with your candy canes.

Green day isn't going to get sued lol

If they did, it would be a basket case.

I'll stop now.

I see what you did there! Seriously about lawsuits, our offices are next to Warner in Santa Monica (not like it's ever done me any good in getting an advanced copy of the album, which sucks!)- I know their lead counsel and the firms that represent their bands. The hounds of hell and beyond known as their attorneys would absolutely crush anyone that ever brought a lawsuit against the Warner family.

I just saw the Bang Bang review about it sounding like something from Lookout! and rockin. My anticipation just went from a 10 to 11. And while it would never happen, I always dreamed of them potentially re-recording the Lookout stuff in a proper setting as a warmp to the new album- how cool would a major label- production Kerplunk sound?!? Those songs are incredible, and amazingly still listenable even though it sounds like we're listening to it through a tin can.

I tried to access that German radio station (Radio Bob, is it?), and it won't let me even view the page. Are there any other international stations that anyone here knows of that might play "Bang Bang" early?

I'm hoping that they keep the new album as brief and punchy as possible. 10-12 tracks clocking in at around 40 minutes would be about perfect I think. Get away from the concepts and over-indulgences and just focus on making a solid, lean record. Also, more variety would definitely not hurt.

Going by the fact that Jason Freese appears to have a part in the record, having additional instrumentation to help individual songs become more distinctive would definitely go a long way to making this album an improvement over the trilogy (as long as it doesn't end up as overproduced as 21st CB of course lol).

This could literally be the first Green Day album in 16 years that's just a Green Day album, so it should be a good litmus test to see if they've still "got it".

Well, for those in Australia who are wondering - I emailed triple m and they said they are playing it here Friday, as we're a day ahead.

I, unlike everyone in this thread, do not want to put a limit to how many songs I think should be on it. Even though I did not like every single song on trilogy, I got a big chunk of awesome Green Day songs and have having a concept would be a plus. AI and 21st were amazing records and their could always be a new main theme to write about.
